It can be found next to the engine and it is activated by the poly-V belt. While the engine is running, the alternator will charge the battery. Inside of it there is a voltage regulator that limits the electric tension that will be delivered.
A lot of time my jeep won't start normally. I have to boost the battery for it to start. The battery is brand new. The alternator and starter have been checked. I use a power pack to jump start it but sometimes it not enough. I have to use a car to boost it.
Amp meter bottoms out while idling with the AC on. We have replaced the serpentine belt , tested the alternator and battery, both are good. Jeep runs perfect without the AC on turn the AC on and the belt screams when you accelerate. The water pump pulley does have a little slack when the belt is off. Not sure if it's all because of the water pump pulley or something to do with it ac pulley
My car will start when it wants too I have checked the battery alternator and the starter. An when it doesn’t start I hear a clicking sound in the fuse box
