We regularly drive our 2005 Mustang GT Convertible. For a few years, we have had issues with the convertible top going up and down. At the suggestion of service department at the Ford dealership, we replaced the convertible top motor. This did not fix the issue. We brought it back and they were stumped. We brought it to another Ford dealership, and they told us that the alternator was not providing enough power to put the convertible top up and down. We had the alternator and battery replaced. Battery/alternator signal appeared, the battery voltage started dropping and the car died on me after 10 minutes. Needed towing to the nearest Ford center. The alternator was then replaced under warranty

Have a new alternator and starter and battery in but it will not crank or turn over

Made a mistake a hooked the battery terminals in reverse. Pretty sure I friend my alternator but now the car gets no power even with a fully charged battery. And I’m now getting a spark out of my ground side terminal when trying to jump start.
