I just had this problem as well. I took truck into garage and had intake gaskets replace new hoses and new intake. This cured my issue. Certainly something you may want to have looked into. Job was a little expensive but it was well worth it and I got a great deal on it. They found my intake was cracked, the tube behind intake had somehow broke and was leaking coolant, My truck shook at idle and take up with little power. This job can cost at much as $2000 but it was 1/2 cost at my local garage. I just got truck back and Its like its brand new. Good luck

Thank you I smoked the motor again and now have no visible leaks anywhere and we smoked it good so now I'm thinking I've got bad sensors.

EGR pipe welds broke

The weld on the EGR cooler broke and it burned my charge pipe in half!!

My truck would t start so I changed the starter now my water an oil gauges won't read seems like I might not be getting fuel in but car turns when directly hooked up won't stay on

Ruff idle cuts out while driving loss of acceleration

Ford F-150 2005 Extended cab 4.6 stx 321500 km

Check engine light was on so had auto zone run a scan on it. And at that time my truck would barley creep down the road. Well holy crap a ton of codes parked it till was able to slowly work on it. First changed all spark plugs helped a little then all 8 coil packs. New throttle body new EGR valve. Got a little better new fuel filter. Still ruff idle and cutting out on exceleration. Used smoke machine to check vacuum leaks didn't see any smoke. Checked vacuum line from brake booster that hooks to back of intake seems intact. Brake light stays on mostly sometimes flashes on and off. I'm at a loss help me figure this out. Plz

Well I guess nobody has a clue. I have changed the throttle body w new solenoid. EGR valve mass air flow sensor spark plugs coil packs I even made my own small key machine to check for vacuum leaks. Nothing I cleaned fuel filter and o two sensors. It has around 40 psi for fuel pressure. Help this country girl is tired of being broke down guess I'm gonna round up a old nag of a mule to ride to town and back. Saves gas... sorta

Check your duct work before the mass air flow sensor. Look for any hole or crack that could suck air. If it sucks air and begins to swirl inside of that duct work it will make it run rough. I’ve got a 99 F150 that had same issues i cleaned my mass air flow sensor, on underside of duct there was a rubber grommet that wires run through that had come loose, and a 1/4 inch gap where plastic met the fender. I secured and taped the grommet and taped up the gap and it instantly changed, runs like a top now.

Catalytic converters would be the place to look. Sounds to me that they may be clogged.

Check your Intake Manifold Gasket. Mine would idle rough then cut off if the idle was too low even while driving

Crank but no start

I had these symptoms on my 2014 F150. Changed so many parts needlessly, it turned out that my KEY was bad. I bought a $175 key from Ford and programmed it myself using FOREscan and my truck which sat for 8 months started right away.

So found out neither my fuel pump or i jectors wasnt getting power so i had ran new wire an now it starts but it keeps flooding out

Rough acceleration

Rough idle and rough acceleration and the exhaust smell like sulfur I have been switching salvage yard parts,cleaned the EGR system tried to test the dpfe and swapped it out 3 times ,could a bad pin from the B-codes be the problem

What about your catalictic converter? Mine is doing the same and I put it on a code reader and that’s what came up

Misfiring. Rough idle no acceleration or power etv.

I have changed the coil-packs, wires, plugs, egr value, & sensor. I have cleaned the injectors on #1 & #2 changed them around. After doing all this I'm not getting any fire in #2 and the above symptoms
I don't know what else to do.

Truck cranks but no start I replaced the fuel pump the fuel lines check the fuses are replaced the spark plugs spark plug coils or ignition coil spark plug wires EGR valve map sensors injectors ignition coil crankshaft positioning sensor and still no start it starts when you put starting fluid in it but dies right away now the fuel pump won't work

4.2 v6 won't idle and hesitates at low rpms.

98 f150 4.2 v6 5 speed. Will start and run as long as i stay on the throttle. If i let off the throttle while the truck is not moving or clutch is depressed, it dies. Sometimes when i go to accelerate, or at partial throttle, it and feels like it's being choked but when i get on the throttle or I'm completely off the throttle, it runs just fine. I replaced egr and cleaned the tube as best i could but wasn't able to clean the entire tube. Will crank won't start

I have changed the
-starter
-Starter solenoid
-battery
-battery cables
-alternator
-ERG Sensor
-ERG Valve
-Fuel Filter
And I have checked all my fuses

The reason I changed the EGR valve and EGR sensor is because when I connected my computer to my truck it said it was not working and threw codes at me... someone please help me with this I've been a few months without my truck and I need it running bad

Runs smooth in park. Looses power going down the road, starts popping, will not accelerate, stays on but will not accelerate. Changed coils, plugs, wires ,cam position,egr, vacuum linesMAF.
