I put starter fluid in it and it starts if I crank it to many times the battery goes dead

Check the fuel pump fuse. I had one pop, and it would crank over, but would not fire, or run.s

My car's been sitting for a couple years but it won't start the battery did have to be jumped it turns over but won't start
