I haven't had a battery issue (that I know of) in my 2008 Equinox, but I have recently had the "won't come out of park" issue recently. I did watch two videos on YouTube, that told me how to disassemble my console to access the shifter. I was able to manipulate a pin as shown in videos, but to remove the console, you have to disconnect your window controls, climate controls, Onstar controls etm. Of course you can reassemble everything, but the park lock issue reoccurred the third time I drove it after taking it apart. Today, I drove it disassembled again, but it was 25⁰ and I had no heat, defrost, or ability to roll windows up the last inch, so I cut the console into 3 sections with a Sawzall. Now all controls are plugged back in,and I can still access the shifter linkage.
Of course now my dashboard blacks out and resets when I hit the brakes too hard.

I own a 13 Chevy equinox I had the exact same thing go down I had put a new battery in it and last battery is blown and it was under warranty I got a new battery slapped it in there and as soon as I did I couldn't get the vehicle to ever come out of park I tried everything just short of cutting the transmission cable and ended up being two fuses up underneath of the hood two of those forgive me here is I am mechanic control of government check type material I don't try to claim to be nor could I ever hold the crown of being a mechanic in any way shape or form which will be probably pretty clear to you in this message however I can promise you that this one isn't as complicated as people tend to think it is and it's just the two of those cube type fuses I don't know what they're called they're not j fuses but they're something other than that they're like shaped like a rectangle square on the tops and anyhow they're up under the hood you got several of them in there either I changed the two of them and immediately drove like a champ with no more issues with transmission give it a shot as much cheaper than routes that you could go here

Did you ever figure out the cause of the issue? I am a technician and working on someone's car with this exact issue on the same year vehicle and can't seem to figure out what is going on with it. When I connect my scan tool I am getting a loss of communication fault for the TCM. Customer said the battery was dead so they replaced the battery and now this happened and it's stuck in park.

The tcm needs to be calibrated. Actually the procedure calibrate the ecm, tps, and tcm. Remove negative cable and fuses and relays. Ecm tps and tcm. Leave off for about 30 minutes. Put cable back on with fuses out. Push the gas to the floor and turn key to accessories. Hold gas down for 20 seconds. Let off and turn key off. Remove cable. Put fuses in. Put cable back on. Foot on gad turn to accessories again hold 6 seconds. Let off gas and turn off. Turn to accessories with foot on gas hold 10 seconds. Pump 9 times on gas and turn off. Then CRANK the car Rev motor a few times. Check the idle. That was on my nissan altima.

2021 Equinox remote start wont work but the lights flash ans horn churps, I cant find the fuse for it ,nothing says remote start.

2019 equinox problems starting it then it would just die at light After parking it one day, it did the same thing it's been and so I jumped the battery and it turned over and started but could not get it shifted out of PARK. The display message on dash keeps saying that I need to shift it back into park and roll drivers side window DOWN and then UP???

That always happens in mine when my battery has been dead so it’s like it wants to verify ur not trying to steal the car so just do what it says and u should be good to go !!

Yes , all I had to do get in the car hit the accessories button then turn it off and the remote start worked, ( thank you )

Battery good, no power anywhere, do not know what fuses to check.

Did you check your mega fuses? If any of them is blown, you need to find a short to ground on that circuit

Consult the manual, as there's a way to do it his by removing certain fuses

P0f37 code , check engine light on

The check engine light is on , at first it would come on and go off right around when I would get gas , I didn’t pay attention to mileage, now it’s on more consistently however when I filled it recently it would go off , at around 3/4 tank full then come back on around 1/4 tank. When I search it, the code it’s not in the OBD and it gives a generic for multiple things , I skimmed the options of what could be and came up with maybe a bad vapor fuel sensor thing, something with the canister or something with the evap …. . . However multiple mechanics couldn’t give me a clear answer …. I have no idea what to do as far as fixing the problem I don’t want to spend thousands ….

Radio Sound inconsistent

Chevrolet Equinox 2014 LT, 2.4L, Touchscreen w/o Nav 160000 miles

My radio sounds like it's playing music on an old VHS tape. The tone goes up and down slowly. I'm trying to just get an idea of where to start, either with upgrading speakers or replacing the amplifier.
