No fob, can be a reason??

Nissan Pathfinder 2002 Rav4l 4z4 172356 km
Bought this from private owner, after it sat for two half years. Said it wouldn't start. Bought a battery, bypassed ac compressor, changed both
Cps's. Nothing on steering wheel. Horn, cruise control not working. I do not have a fob and previous owner changed stereos. That does not work so I took it out. Checked all fuses. What could be wrong ??

Oh if they had an alarm added like mine had - you will never get that thing started without going and getting a from the dealer key fob. I have no idea why they added a secondary alarm on it but no mechanic could figure out how to disable it or even which wires went to it they had tied it in so well. But basically i was told if you tamper with the alarm system or don't have the original key fob after major modifications/battery replacement that essentially resets the ecu- the vehicle is just a big old brick.

Replace the Key Fob Battery: This is the easiest and most likely solution. Reprogram the Key Fob: Follow the instructions for programming a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder key fob, which often involves locking the doors, cycling the ignition multiple times, and pressing a button on the fob within a specific timeframe. Check for an Aftermarket Alarm: An aftermarket alarm could be the culprit, particularly if the problem started after a battery change. Reset the Immobilizer: Try turning the ignition to the "ON" position (without starting) and leaving it for about 10 minutes until the security light stops blinking, then turn the ignition off. Alternatively, try disconnecting the vehicle battery for 10-15 minutes.
