My Nissan frontier diesel is leaking huge amounts of oil to the radiator and the system in general. I was told it might be the oil cooler, hoses were checked but the leaking problem is still there, and it has some worrying overheatings.
Might try a block sealer or a sealer that helps oil leaks in the head. Also coolant may be getting in oil and making it look milky . Head gaskets are a headache that could lead to a aneurysm. They ain't no joke. 🤕
Bought truck brand new the CARPLAY feature linked up/synced up and worked for the first week, then only sporadically there after and now it does not work at all. The screen message says 'CarPlay failed to connect'. My iPhone 14 is on iOS 18.7.2. Bluetooth connection to phone works fine. I have factory reset the radio unit several times, rebooted my phone several times, made sure iPhone and truck firm wares are up to date. I have re-'paired' phone to truck system several times - CarPlay still not working. Other friends that get in my truck to ride, the CarPLAY grabs and syncs up to their phone no problems, just does it automatically and right away too - what the deal?
I figured it out. I use ExpressVPN service at home and the app on my phone. I found out that when the ExpressVPN app is actively ON on my cell phone, it blocks the CarPlay app from working on my vehicle. *Turn off VPN on cell phone while using the vehicle - problem solved.
It's a tiny black wire going to the just underneath the hood latch and if you know wiring or have any idea one side is the signal that becoming from the steering wheel and then the other side is the earth or the ground and if you've done all that and you still can't get a horn it has to be something wrong with the steering wheel or the switch One way to try it is just go to those two black wires find the horn and put the signal wire to the battery if you don't have a momentary on switch that's a spring loaded switch and just touch that tiny little black wire that's easily broken and say a heavy snow region or ice or any of that stuff can just break those little wires
Run a Hot wire from the positive post of the battery, then unplug the fan wire and feed power directly. This will tell you if the motor is good. If it works then check the fan /ac fuses.
2017 Nissan frontier Horn don't work. I checked the horn fuse and relay and they were fine. Unplugged the horn and tested it with the battery and it worked. Plugged it back to the harness and not working?
"Sometimes" when I start the truck the Heater (HVAC) cluster does not come on. But the blower blows strong. "Sometimes" Its comes on when I start the truck and all controls work fine. However, I can be driving and the cluster just goes off and the blower stays on. It may be out for a few to 15 minutes and will come on again where all controls work fine again. It may go off and on a few times while driving around 30+ minutes...
Truck won't start in any gear. Key turns over but nothing happens. Interior lights, radio, dash lights, etc are all appearing fine. Battery is not dead. When put it in reverse no lights come on and tail lights don't work
