Stereo and radio

Honda Civic 2011 hatch back 104000 km
My radio switches between AM, FM, CD, and AUX on its own. And today my stereo stopped playing my music made some popping noises and stopped working completely, mind you my volume was no higher that 10 which is very quiet.

Same thing has happened to me with my 2008 Honda Civic. There’s a running joke that my car is haunted because it lol. Also the volume turns all the way to 40 on its own which is super annoying and can be scary. Mostly now it just doesn’t work at all.
White89crx de États-Unis il y a 5 ans
Apparantly these radios are notorious for that. Mines doing the same. Ill be getting a new dash kit and just put aftermarket in it...doesnt seem like anything can really be done for this, they are just junk i guess.

Stereo system changes the volume on its own

Honda Civic 2012 Civic 160000 km
My screen does not indicate that the volume is going down, but the volume will periodically go down then back at its normal volume. Why? I replaced the car battery in hopes it would fix this issue. It did not.

My 07 civic radio will do that as I slow down and raise again when resuming speed. This does NOT reflect on the screen at all.

Hybrid Honda civic 2005 RésoluRésolu

Honda Civic 2005  150000 km
Suddenly many functions stopped working: the alarm is out of order, the door locks do not respond to their button, the interior light turns on at any moment, the hybrid system seems to be always discharged, leds from the gears flicker, the entrance for the scanner doens't work and even the stereo turns off. There are no burnt fuses, any idea what it may be?

Open the hood or bonnet and there you will find some other fuses. There is one called "backup" or something similar. That one usually burns out.
augie20 de États-Unis il y a 11 ans
Thank you earnest. Checked that and the problem is: fuse that I introduce, it is burnt out.

You must have a short circuit in the wiring. Is there something you have recently installed on your car? That could be the cause.
augie20 de États-Unis il y a 11 ans
The last installation was the scanner and it is not working since then. The short circuit could be in its plug, right earnest?
earnest de États-Unis il y a 11 ans
Most probably. You should check whether it is damaged or shorted, otherwise you'll have to change the scanner connector.
augie20 de États-Unis il y a 11 ans
You were right, there was a short circuit in the connector. Thanks for your help.

2012 Honda Civic Coupe - Issue After Replacing Battery

Honda Civic 2012 Coupe 66000 km
My car sat all winter. I just replaced the battery, and now warning lights remain ON. The stereo won't work, either...nothing happens when I press "Source" and nothing happens when I try to turn on the radio/CD player.
I am afraid to drive the vehicle, but it was in perfect working condition when I last drove it.
Through my research, I learned a few things...it could be sensors or fuses. Or, I could drive it around and see if the lights go off?

I need advice!

Same thing happened to me, my cluster even went out. I was told to discharge the battery after I took it to the service department. They fixed it but they told me that could help the issue if it happens again

AC blower stopped working- now have parasitic drain

Honda Civic 2008 Sedam 141422 km
My ac blower switch doesn’t work- first high went out, then within a week it was intermittent on all settings, then wouldn’t turn on. Next day, my car wouldn’t turn over. My little jumper had 33% life on it, tried it anyways- car started right up. Turn it off- car dead again. I have replaced blower relay, the 40 amp r5 fuse was good, went to a shop today, they thought it was the relay also- nothing. The blower still doesn’t come on, and the battery drains after I turn it off. I have am wondering if anyone has any other ideas- I can’t imagine paying top dollar for a repair shop to fix it. Is there a diagnostic that I can run that I am missing info on- my cars stereo was replaced and I can’t seem to access the onboard system- any advice would be helpful

Installed backup camera - now car won't start

Honda Civic 2009 LX-S 145000 km
I recently added a new stereo and backup camera to my Civic. I got everything to work correctly, but today noticed that the wire attached to the reverse bulb had popped off. So earlier today, i started to redo wiring in the trunk for the backup camera. The key was in the ignition and I had the key set to ACC. This is where it begin. Then out of nowhere, the "door open" beep starts. I try to start the car, and its not working. Current state: Battery has a charge, full tank of gas. Engine will turn over, but immediately dies - like its not getting any gas. Also, the dashboard is not displaying… Lire en entier
