Engine Control Unit. According to the values shown by different sensors, it estimates certain parameters such as the amount of air and fuel that need to be supplied, the amount of time needed to start the car, the pressure of the turbocharger, and any other key aspects to maximize its performance and efficiency with the least amount of contamination possible.
My vehicle has issues with the ECU and I got it replaced with an ECU with same part number. Now everything I remove the battery terminal, I need to reprogram the ECU before vehicle would start. Whats the solution to this ?
I've heard that you would have to get ur ECU "flashed" or something like that. I actually need to replace mine, but instead im just gonna go to the junk yard and find a car with keys in it & take the ignition key parts, & ECU so it responds to that computer, you know? I hope it works if I find that I have this same problem.
Replaced immobilizer and ignition switch but new keys won’t program im
Using autel programmer and it’s coming back saying something about the ecu/pcm programming I’m not sure
yeah im pretty sure even after replacing that stuff you need to find someone to program the new ignition and key so your car recognizes it, i had a black o4 i lost the key to and had to get the new one coded in so the car would read the key, if you dont your just gonna turn the dead key and see that ur green key light is still on meaning it didnt read or recognize it
Hi, Im not getting any connection from any scan tool to the car? Checked the fuses, replaced the faulty ones & still nothing. I recently changed my ECU but its the exact same model number so I think it should work. Any help is much appreciated.
So Iam getting nothing from my instrument cluster in my 2003 civic lx coupe. It hasn't worked since a lady tried to give me a jump at the store almost a year ago. She put the cable on backwards. Since then I replace the ECU, ignition switch, starter, alternate and the fuel box under the hood. But I've also tried another cluster altogether and still nothing but blinkers and hazards. Anyone got any ideas?
when driving my cars idle tends to climb all the way to around 4k rpms. under no load that is.
Ive done everything from changing throttle body and gaskets, IACV bled the coolant system, changed fuel injectors. ive even changed the ECU because the car threw a P1106 Baro meter code. and after replacement it fixes it temporarily. then just comes back a day or two later.
