The pcm fuse in the interior fuse box on the driver side is blown. It happens when the fuel module goes out or has a bad ground. The wire harness for the pcm runs through the frame of the truck. I went through 3 pcm and probably 20 fuses trying to figure why I had this issue. There is an exposed wire running from the wire harness touching the frame. Good luck

Id start by changing complete fuse box. The whole box! I had almost identical issue almost 2 yrs ago, never could figure it out. Had a rare day off work and a bit of tinker brain wanting to tinker and had looked at everything imaginable. So i daid to hell with it i puuld the box and took it apart, completely! I seperated the circuit boards and foun a blown trace. Completeley seperated trace, finger, run or whatecer you wish to call it. It was completely seperated like a ¼in gap seperation. Snatched a box from junkyard hokked it up and been gettinit ever since

Overheats and leaks water

Ford F-150 2008  360000 km
I have a Ford F150 XL 4WD 5.4L. What happens is that after stoppin for around 10 minutes the water starts leaking, but there is no high temperature indication until it lost around half the water, and then it indicates it's overheating.
Notes:
* I removed the thermostat two monhts ago
* I removed the water pump but it looks in good shape, it might be leaking but very very little, not enough to run out of water in 10 minutes
* It has 200.000 miles
* I can't see any leak in the water hoses
* The readiator doesn't seem clogged
* The water intake is not leaking
* There is no warning light in the dashboard

Check the fan clutch, sometimes they don't work and the engine is not cooled. I have a 2000 model, and when I bought it it was overheating and leaking water the same way as yours
Kylrlrk de États-Unis il y a 3 ans
Samsung exact problem also ford f150 2001 larieit 5.4. No heat blowing just changed thermostat and still does it. Also only overheating when it's about half full in reservoir.
josea de États-Unis il y a 2 ans
Did you remove or replace... those are two completely different words. If you removed the water pump, then all the water sis draing out...if you replaced the water pump, then the water will not drain out unless you did it wrooong and it leaks. Hot water is highpressure. It will frain in ten minutes.

Oil in coolant bottle

Ford F-150 2017 3.5 132000 km
I am getting oil in my coolant bottle but no coolant in my engine oil. I replaced the oil cooler and flush everything but it still happens. When flushing the engine nothing but coolant comes out, no oil. Truck runs great, not overheating, no codes. Has new radiator, water pump, thermostat and some hoses. Noticed some hoses getting swollen I guess from the oil. It is a 2017 F150 3.5l ego boost with 132,000 miles on it. Did a head gasket test and the blue changed to a light yellow. Any ideas?

Update: I discovered when my truck wouldn’t move that it was 2 quarts low on transmission fluid. It looks like it is transmission fluid mixing with my coolant not motor oil. I have a heat exchanger to cool the fluid. Waiting on the part to come in and will update if that solves it.

Check to see if you have proper coolant flow in the radiator and also check the coolant reservoir cap to see if it’s holding pressure I think it’s anywhere from 10-15 lbs of pressure replace it if it holds less than that

There is no coolant going through the core. Return hose can be removed with engine running and you won't get wet.

Fans stuck running on high after start, ac blowing cold

Ford F-150 2014 Lariat 5.0 220320 km
Fan stuck running on high, ac blowing cold, new ac compressor installed and system pressure checked. Could it be the Condenser or the Thermostat?

O2’s or cat converter or vacuum or etc.,,,,,,,

Ford F-150 2013 Crew Cab FX2 5.0L 203000 km
Truck keeps throwing aMAS air flow code. I kept driving it until lost pretty much all power. I then replaced mass air flow reset the codes and now it has different codes and still same problem of no power. It said now that it’s the front 2 O2 sensors plus the cat plus the thermostat and it’s runs rich both banks stuck open

2015 3.5l F150 overheat

Ford F-150 2015  51400 km
Originally only happened when temperatures were below (-15). Have had thermostat replaced/ system flushed/ New 21psi overflow cap put on. Does not happen when idling only when I get on the highway. Has been in the RED and I hit a bump and immediately drops to normal. (Why I replaced T-stat), but now it still wants to overheat once on the highway, but if while driving I give it some gas it will sometimes stable out to normal temperature. In Alaska and nearest dealership is 100 miles away.
