It is one of the main elements of the distribution system that powers up the engine cylinders. Its rotating movements are coordinated with the movements of the crankshaft. Through the cams that are welded into it, it opens and closes the valves through which the fuel mixture enters and the exhaust gases get out.
Ok started of only on inclines rough run back fire no acceleration sometimes die completely. Now it is permanent I have changed plugs coils camshaft sensor crankshaft sensor fuel filter. After repairs it runs idles great 5 minutes then back like crap
Try cleaning your Mass Air Flow senser with cleaner from part store make sure it's for that senser n clean up throttle body real good with cleaner too. Also change out your PVC valve. I also had cooling fans not coming on as needed replaced couple relays n all is good now. Also check temperature control senser. Had same problems. Truck runs so much better now.
I ended up changing fuel pump and fuel pressure sensor the 1 on tank ran good for a week rite back missing barley would stay running at all disconnected mass air flow sensor not a problem since and getting better gas mileage than ever 16.8 to 17.3 interstate
I have changed fuel pump fuel regulator checked relay crankshaft sensor camshaft position synchronizer I'm getting spark an getting fuel to the rail an I can spray starter fuel in it an it runs till starter fuel burns off
Rough idling at times, acts as if it’s going to die backing up at times, just changes the cam shaft position sensor, getting 10.4 miles to a gallon, no code other than it saying check fuel fill inlet,
Change out the VVT solenoids. To do this you, need to take the valve covers off but well worth it to get it running right. I bought mine off of Amazon. Make sure to order the Dorman ones...usually run bout $35 a piece on there.
Good afernoon, I own a Ford 150 fx4 2007 and recently I've changed both VCT (Variable Camshaft Timing), pinions and roller chains, a camshaft, spark plugs and coils. I have as well changed the oil but the engine is now giving off a sound at low revs, as if those chains were touching themselves.Even more, if I drive in reverse, the car usually starts trembling and, in order to stop it, I need to desaccelerate or stop it. No failure is provided by the computer, any ideas?
Replace camshaft position sensor replace the vcts drove the car go decent shut it off now it won't start instrument cluster lights are out and my security system won't stop flashing key on or off
My truck is growing a P0016 code. My scanner is dying it is a crankshaft position camshaft position correlation bank 1 sensor A. Does anyone know what sensor this one is exactly. And how to replace it. Any help would be great
So I blew about and it ripped the wires off of one of my camshaft sensors and then it started running funny so forth kept kind of driving a little bit and then I went and changed them out and it would start a little bit but not run well and then all of a sudden it just doesn't run even try to start it tries turning over but it doesn't spark go wrong wrong spark at all
So I have a Ford F-150 and I have literally replaced both camshaft position sensors the crankshaft position sensor I have also replaced the fuel pump driver module I've replaced all the spark plugs all the coil packs and for some reason it's still bogs down when I come to a stop it will bog down and start to sound like a diesel does anybody have any suggestions
