Done everything I can. Motor purs like a kitten but going down highway it just stopped moving. I think it's the transmission issue but I'm not sure. Only code showing is 82 and I'm not sure what that is. Any help is greatfully appreciated

In 2011, I bought a Sonic 2012 who turned out to be absolutely faulty. The first problem was with the braking, which did not work or did whenever it wanted to. It was then found that some hoses that control the emptiness were damaged. Later, the ABS began making a terrible noise like the one of an old car. Finally, it started jerking because something in the transmission was failing, and even two times a little engine of the air conditioning gate broke down.

I bought a Sonic LTZ 2012 and it leaves a lot to be desired. It has already presented failures in the battery and thermostat. Even more, a terrible noise appeared coming from the suspension, as well as another one on the right side which is just as if something were boiling. I have also encountered problems with the gearbox. It is really frustrating.

RPM up and down if car is stoped and sometimes it goes off. If driving its ok but if u want to stop at traffic light suddenly RPM goes from low to high and the transmission will jerk to change gear unless u continue to press brake than it will not jerk. Also engine light on and ABS comes on and off if ur stopping at the light wether ur using break or not.

My gear shift button sometimes sticks when in park and am unable to take my keys out, I fiddle with it for a bit and then it will come out, but today it took almost 5min. Does anyone else have these issues.

This started in the summer with driving, slowing down and then the car would stall. I would have to completely shut it down for a minute, in trafic. I was told it was due to high temperatures outside.

The battery has been replaced twice and the dealership just said use higer octane, which we already used. They also said that their is basically no fix! I'm regretting buying this vehicle. Plenty can run in hot temperatures.
Yesterday, it was 60 degrees outside and it wouldn't even turn over. This car isn't even three years old.

We bought our Sonic 2012 ltz in 2011 and, since the first year of usage, we've been having problems with it. First, a joint was released and it makes it sound as if it were an old car. It then started failing when braking forward or backward and it ended up being the vacuum hose of the ABS brakes. This year, the stabilizer bar's screws have been replaced as well as the automatic transmission's oil lock. Last but not least, a week and a half ago, we suffered a collision from the front and the air bags were not activated. There is no way we can now feel secure when stepping on the car. If somebody has had similar problems, I would appreciate it if you let me know and if you know how I can solve this. Thank you for the comments.

I own a Sonic 2014 and the transmission resulted being one of the worst ones. It is the second time that the gears get stuck in a month. And, every time I start the car, the engine makes an awful noise; it seems to be an old vehicle. The service leaves a lot to be desired and the insurance does not respond. The car stalled in the middle my journey the 24th of December and I was left there, because no one answered me. I really do not know what to do.
