Losing coolant GelöstGelöst

Volkswagen Golf 2016 hatchback,manual,1.6 TDI 81kW 110604 km
A few days ago dashboard massage pops up and says that I need to check the coolant level. After I checked the coolant level, the coolant was on the bottom of the reservoir. The toothed belt and water pump has been changed about 33 554 miles ago, so it can't be the water pump. The coolant reservoir doesn't show traces of leakage, maybe some kind of hose. What hose should I check?

Radiator fan turning on on start up GelöstGelöst

Volkswagen Golf 2012 hatchback/2.0 tsi 90000 km
I haven't driven my car in 4 days and when I turned it on the radiator fan turned on but it wasn't super loud if I wanted it to compare it to smthg it isnt louder than the engine and i dont know if thr fan stays on while driving but when I turn the car off the fan turns off aswell at the same time, and I dont have any dash lights, no warnings the car doesnt overheat and it drives smooth. So what could it be? is it normal or something that has to be fixed instantly?

Overheating engine radiator fan

Volkswagen Golf 1996 Golf mk3 1.6  141900 km
I drive golf mk3 1.6L '96 model I would drive short distances and my car radiator fan stays on longer than expected I return from my short trip park my car and radiator fan would stay running for long period not normal... Coolant level in reservoir bottle hardly seems to drop temp gauge sometimes leans slightly over 90 degree. Could there be blockage somewhere in cooling system? Should I flush... Another issue I recently had hot water pipe replaced but now seem to have Hot air blowing into cabin even when heater switch is in off position...i tried using car heater but it doesn't seems to blow hot air into cabin cool air only

If the radiator fan is staying on longer than expected and the engine is overheating, it could be a problem with the cooling system or a malfunctioning component.
Here are a few things you can try:

Check the radiator. A radiator that is clogged or damaged can cause the engine to overheat. You can check the radiator by looking for any visible damage or debris and by checking the coolant level.
Check the thermostat. The thermostat is responsible for regulating the flow of coolant to the engine. If the thermostat is stuck open or closed, it can cause the engine to overheat.
Check the radiator fan. If the radiator fan is not functioning properly, it can cause the engine to overheat. You can check the radiator fan by turning the ignition on and observing the fan to see if it is spinning.
Check the water pump. The water pump is responsible for circulating the coolant through the engine. If the water pump is not functioning properly, it can cause the engine to overheat.
As for the issue with the heating system, if hot air is blowing into the cabin even when the heater switch is in the off position, it could be a problem with the heating system or a malfunctioning component.
Check the heater control valve. The heater control valve is responsible for regulating the flow of hot coolant to the heater core. If the heater control valve is stuck open or closed, it can cause hot air to be blown into the cabin even when the heater switch is off.
Check the heater core. The heater core is responsible for heating the air that is blown into the cabin. If the heater core is clogged or damaged, it can cause hot air to be blown into the cabin even when the heater switch is off.
Check the blower motor. The blower motor is responsible for blowing air into the cabin. If the blower motor is not functioning properly, it can cause hot air to be blown into the cabin even when the heater switch is off.
If you are unable to identify the source of the problem or if the issue persists after checking these components, I recommend having a mechanic diagnose and repair the issue to ensure that the problem is properly addressed and the vehicle is safe to drive.

Oil mixing with coolant

Volkswagen Golf 2006 hatchback 87010 km
Hi last week as i was driving my VW mk4 out of the carpot i noticed a sign on the dashboard indicating that there was no coolant. I opened the bonet only to find the coolant pot in a mess! it was full of oil thick milky substance!! it had NEVER shown a sign of heating. I have not used it since then. What could be the problem and what is the likely solution?

Hi I got a mechanic from AGBA MOTORS NAIROBI who fixed the problem. He replaced the oil mixer which was worn out! Then flashed all the oil and replaced with new engine oil and a new oil filter. Now good to go!

Fan not turning, only turns when I remove the sensor that is connected on the radiator.

Water Level

Volkswagen Golf 2014 Hatchback 183304 km
In my 2014 Model VW Golf 7, I get a 'Low Coolant Level' warning when I reach speeds of 130-140 km/h. When I check the expansion tank, I see that the water level is below the MIN line. However, when I look at the temperature gauge, I observe that it remains stable at 90 degrees, and the fan does not turn on. When I open the cap of the expansion tank, the water completely returns to its former level, and the warning disappears. There is no white smoke, etc., coming from my vehicle. Only when I open the engine oil cap while the engine is hot, something like vapor comes out. However, there is no a… Vollständig lesen

Water consumption

Volkswagen Golf 2011 Variant 1.6 diesel 170000 km
I need suggestions or support. My car consume a lot of water 1,5 litres for 500 km. Sometime it powers on even the fan when is very hot. There are signs of water even from the exhaust of the car and sometimes the is even white smoke that comes outside.
The technician couldn’t isolate the issue and recommended a Volkswagen dealership repair station. Does anyone have had the same issue or have any suggestion?

Crank no start

Volkswagen Golf 1991 hatchback,manual,1.3 nz ,40kw 160000 km
Hi, i recently got a golf 2 from 91 with a 1.3l nz engine. A little backstory to this: befor i started to work on it i cranked the car over and gave a little gas via the intake to see if it starts. Well to my luck it started without a problem (i want to make it into a low budget rally car and i found it abandoned with wasps in it and mice). Now, i repaired the fuel system by replacing the fuel pumps with just one from bmw that makes 3bar of pressure. I bypassed the high pressure fuel pump tank so it goes directly to the engine. After that i changed the battery terminals because they were broke… Vollständig lesen
