The engine mountings are good. But between each manual gear change when the accelarator is released , jecking is felt. It's also happens when travelling in gear at slow speed
The jerking has more to do with the accelerator on easing off and speeding in slow moving traffic. I think it's wear on the linkages. But not sure where exactly. Had the car a few years & was not doing that @ the beginning
Hi. Still no one has identified the problem. If anything, the jercking when the accelerator is release fully, is gradually getting worse. It's definitely not the engine mountings. I wonder if anyone else has got the same problem with a 1995 /1996 toyota corolla 1.6lt engine
I'm happy to report that after using Fuel Doctor petrol additive from Supercheap Auto. The jerkiness on decelaration, which was getting worse, has virtually disappeared. The car is much smoother now, after one month of using the product. Highly recommended to clear fuel lines , injectors, etc.

One day rainy day I went to start my car and it acted as of the starter was broken. It wasn't even clicking. Then the whole car locked up. So I waited for a minute and then it started. From then a few days later it starts semi fine because I can hear a slight hesitation is the engine starting and when I go to drive the power steering does not work. I have to let the car sit after the engine starts for a couple seconds before I can drive for the power steering to kick in. What is going on. Never had any issues or accidents with this car before.
My Corolla GLI 4 Speed Auto 2018 model is now 25560 kms driven. Since last year i’m facing the problem in it’s gear on high RPMs. Car runs smoothly in city travel where RPMs are relatively low but when on Highways, the car jerks very badly when the gear shifts to low gear on acceleration.
I’ve tried changing gear oil and gear oil filter and also checked if the mountings are ok. What further could be done to resolve this issue?
Car cant climb smaalest incline the car just jerks vigorously and turns off the clutch dosent have too much play but it is really soft same as gas pedal
The car have being showing sign of delay in movement when place to drive but suddenly wont move when throttled & moved to D.It takes s lot of kick & start before it engages moves a few minutes and drops again. I will need to allow it to cool, restart, throttle with high sound it moves & stops. It appears not to go beyond gear 1.It jerks before it moves. Any person with solution?
Hello all
Hope to find help with my Toyota. It is a 2017 Corolla. Bought brand new. I put 190K miles, most highway miles. Always kept with oil and filter change, but never messed with the transmission. So, couple weeks ago I was hearing some noise like wind thru the window, tho it was low I didnt pay much attention. So, when I was like couple miles from work it started slipping and jerking when accelerating. Parked the car at work, and towed it later with my truck. Did a drain and refill for the trans fluid with orgininal toyota fluid, as recommended. Took it to autozone for codes and it is throwing P084, and P2829. Can anybody point me in the right direction, or maybe if anybody had the same problem? TIA!
Car sputters and hesitating to accelerate. I've changed the coil packs, spark plugs, PVC valve. Mas sensor, gas pedal acceleration sensor, throttle body and sensor, fuel pump and fuel filter, and cleaned the fuel injectors. And reset the ECU on a number of times.
Gears were not shifting after transmission was wrongly opened. The transmission was serviced with new prescribed fluid. Now there is no jerking but car starts from 2nd when put in drive. When reversing as well, car is slow
