Doesn't want to shift to second gear

Does not move in any gear. Stop engine put it in drive, engine will start in drive and engage in D 1 2 3. Stop and move the lever to reverse or park the vehicle will not engage in any gear. The battery was not connected on the vehicle for two months. I reconnected the battery drove for about ten miles when the problem started. What should I do?

I hade it rebuild back in March of this year, and not (8/26) it only shifts and very high RPM's. I suspect its due to a vacuum line but I cant find it,. . . Or maybe the torque converter?

In driving one day the truck started to jerk, and gradually lost power when i pressed the accelerator to the point where i got stuck turning the corner and could not make it up a small incline.

I had to have the truck towed from the middle of the intersection... and I have now been told the transmission has gone out on the truck -- which is a hard pill to swallow cause this is just 10 months after I bought the truck second hand (with no legal warranty, naturally)... (because my other car was stolen) - oh the misery...

The repair quotes are in my area seem to be 9-12k cad for a rebuilt one, (6k for just the used part?!- or higher if new parts but with a longer wait time)...

Does this repair quote seem accurate?

When on speed 5 to 12 km it make a Stumble and if I control the speed when be stumble it make a continuous stumble

I bought a 2001 Ford explorer XLT not running. The transmission had been replaced, and it ran before the transmission was pulled. After the transmission has been installed it would not start back since then the pump has pretty much rotted off into the tank. I replaced the pump, but do not have power to the pump or the safety switch I can bypass the relay and the pump will run so I'm not getting power to my relay what do I do? After being prompted to enter my mileage on this but I realize that it does not show mileage on the instrument cluster it just has dashes

Just installed a used transmission and when I take off it won't shift out of first gear unless you let completely off the accelerator and the check engine light came on and the overdrive off light flashes continuously until you turn ignition off what is the problem?

I would appreciate someone's help. I own an automatic Ford Explorer xlt 2002, and what happens is that when changing the gears, the engine stalls. And once I start it again, the vehicle bounces. I've got no idea whatsoever what the cause can be, can anybody help me? Thank you

It started with the turn signals I change the fuse for the turn signals three times within 2 days. Then all of sudden the hazards and turn signals weren't working but the fuse was fine. I tried looking stuff up on the internet at that moment and seemed mentioning of I believe it's called the hazard relay but it's under the dash directly above the OBD2 hook up. So I unplugged it, took it off took it into AutoZone to see if they had a new part and I was just going to buy a brand new relay to to replace it. My explorer was doing fine and all of the sudden I went to leave the store and it won't go into any gear at all park works fine no OD light flashing and no check engine light on so no codes what can it be

So I unattached the negative battery cable to reset the 4WD high because it would not go back to 4WD Auto. After doing this I've had problems starting the car. Before this not one issue. So the battery is charged reading 12.75V and all interior lights, power locks are functioning. The problem is there is no crank when I turn the key. Nothing, not a sound, no click... Zero. The dash lights up, alert bell rings but nothing from the engine.

My 2005 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4.0 V6 keeps going into Fail Safe mode with no codes reporting and the truck drive fine m8nus some loss of power and feels like it fights to stay at speed but drives normal and go 80+ mph. Anyone have or has had this issue? Transmission is not shifting on time sometimes is the only issue im having other than the other one.

Won't go into reverse, makes loud whinding noise and when decelerating makes loud whinding noise.

I replaced strearing column, had to put old one back in and the hazards and flashers are not working. There is a purple and orange and a tan and... wire that was not put in. They have nothing on the column that matches the wires. I changed bulbs and the fuses are good

No reverse for couple weeks now reverse works great but no forward gears at all

The tranny dip stick reads full on one side, empty on the other-whats the correct one to look at?

I just had a used transmission put in my truck because the old one was too far gone. The mechanic put it in and he said the skip light came on and now the gears wont change??? WHat could be going on??

Since obtaining the veh with 32K miles on it, either the MAS is dirty or the throttle body or throttle position sensor(s) are malfunctioning? Veh. Shifts hard progressing upward thought the gears, yet if (when passing), RPM's are increased, there is a long delay at the higher RPM's (after removing foot from accelerator) before it down shifts to the appropriate gear/RPM- Have almost been overtaken by traffic attempting to merge on to an interstate hwy. , as when you punch the accelerator, there is at least a 1 second hesitation where after you have committed to entering a lane, the vehicle is NOT accelerating! THESE ISSUES SEEM TO BE RELATED - Veh is NOT throwing any error codes being detected.

Loss of power steering, and 4wd

Traction control dash light on dssh won't reset on a Ford 2006 Explorer, Eddie Bauer Edition, with 4x4. Changed the ECU, Brack Sensors, Steering Sensor.

Will not engage starter. New: battery - ignition switch - relays - fuses. All replaced. My thoughts are neutral safety switch. How do you test that?
