When driving along uneven roads, specially a cobbled pavement, an annoying noise appears coming from the rear end assembly. It sounds like a damaged shock absorber, and seems as though the spare wheel were bumping into the floor. I've adjusted locks, rubbers, rubber bushings and holders. I have no idea whatsoever what can be happening, can anyone give me a hand?
It was working all day and now it's stopped working completely. I'm getting my car looked at thrusday morning. Checked fuses. Replaced them all within the last Month.
Well the other day my sound just completely stopped working. It won’t let me change through Sources, and when it “plays” CD’s, or USB Music, the time ticks as normal and even goes to the next song and everything but no sound at all comes out. I did the Speaker Test and all speakers seemed to have tested fine as normal. I removed my ACM today and now that I’m looking at it im just not sure of what it could be because it looks fine. Is there any blueprints or reference pages on the actual layout of the ACM model main board? Just to help kinda guide me around that board which is loaded with stuff. I’d love to hopefully fix the issue without having to spend money. Any help or advice? Thanks A lot, Go Bucks!
So a few months ago i heard a little pop sound from under the hood while driving. I didn't think much of it. It was still winter/cold here. But i did notice that my car was louder than usual. Then, I realized it was louder because the fan would kick on the second I started the car and was running the whole time. Now that summer is finally knocking on our door and we're having hotter weather, I turn my ac on and the fan will blow cold air out but then it like tapers off until the ac isn't blowing at all but the fan under the hood is still running. There are sometimes sounds of maybe a belt slipping but the sounds aren't constant. What the heck happened and how do I fix it???!!!
The fan will continue to run at any speed as long as the a/c isn't turned on. The heater still blows at the highest setting. The cool air will blow at the highest setting. Turn on the a/c and it will peter the fan out and it will stop blowing. I can run the a/c on the lowest fan setting and it will continue to blow. If I raise the setting to about halfway or above the fan peters out. But the fan that turns on as soon as i start the car continues to run the whole time until i kill the car. What is happening here???!!!
now the blower only blows randomly... especially when I make a left turn, it'll blow like normal. As soon as i straighten the wheel back out it stops blowing... and the temp setting no longer matters.
My moon roof made a clicking sound and jammed crooked and I can close it by helping it but going in to the vent position only the passenger side goes up and now I got it closed but it leaks.
My escape took a shit about two years ago when the ABS pump went bad and the dealership even told me that you might as well get rid of the car because we discontinued that ABS pump. So I bought one on eBay had it installed to find out that the eBay one was defective wasted about $700 trying it out, and then I ended up just junking the car for $700. I will never buy another Ford again.
Does it happen right after you fill the tank? It might be the purge valve, that's what mine was, an inexpensive, easy fix, takes 5 minutes in the driveway
I've had to replace my purge valve, charcoal canister, purge solenoid all that several times. Every time a friend puts gas in my car or if i run out of gas and roadside assistance doesn't use the special funnel to add gas, or sometimes for no reason at all. But on average i have this problem about every year or two. My late fiance used to perform the repair and it didn't take him long at all.

My 2011 ford escape limited 3.0 v6 has electric issues.
While driving the electric power steering locks up on its own then lets lose and clicks under the dash
Headlights dim and brighton on their own. The whole dash, radio, ac controls, go off.
The engine pulse up and down but never shuts down. David white and i have trouble shooted this issues so many ways. This sounds like its an electrical issue. It picks a new item to mess with every few days. Any thoughts or advice would be helpful.
After parking I heard a pop sound like you sometimes hear when a fuse blows. I turned off the car and when I came back and started the vehicle, the a/c would not turn on. There is no power getting to the A/C unit at all, it won't even blow the outside air (fan). I checked the fuses and the relay in the fuse box under the hood and none of them were blown. I checked the fuses in the interior under the glove compartment and none of them are blown. What else could be the issue?
Radio doesn't power on with absolutely no display. There is no power from the outlet and the USB also doesn't work. Neither does Sirius. The heads up display above the radio showing ford escape premium sound and the temp shows up and so does the temp control lights right below otherwise nothing else. Checked all fuses and all seems fine.
About a month ago my bf went to get in my unlocked vehicle and the alarm randomly went off, after that we noticed that the radio went out, like it isn't lighting up, or putting out any sound, we checked the fuses and they seem to okay, any ideas?
My 2016 Ford Escape SE is equipped with first generation SYNC- meaning no navigation system, touchscreen capability, OR automatic wifi updates and the system has begun acting glitchy. Turning off Bluetooth when no one has touched a thing. Or dropping the connection to my android when it was connected just fine 5 min ago. It probably needs to update is my guess , but I can't afford to take it to Ford dealership at the moment.
It's running the 5.8 version and I found a 5.14 update on the Internet. BUT "I found it on the Internet" sounds like another way of saying "OOPS" so you might understand my hesitation.
Im trying to find alternative strategies to debug system. Ideas?
I have had my car since september & all of a sudden it has developed a series of 5 beeps (4 in a row) with no dash lights changing & only when i first start the car
Engine overheats after about 2-3 miles in the city; also sounds like a belt broke, but when I looked my belts were all fine. Overheating problem started first, added radiator fix solution and it stopped for the most part, then the belt sound started a week or so later.
My escape has been shutting down (engine shuts off but battery stays on) and when diagnosed shows cam sensors issue. They have been replaced 3 times with 3 different brands. Even replaced the solenoid switch. Each time after replacing them, it drives great for about 60 miles and then does the big "clunk" and shuts down. My mechanic is at a loss. Previous owner had to take it to the Ford dealership to have the turbo replaced but was told that should be lifetime fix.
I am wondering if this is an ECM problem throwing weird and random codes? And how realistic having the ECM replaced would be in fixing the problem?
My car quit running all of a sudden, had to get it towed back home, the tow truck guy tried charging the battery but it would not take a charge so we changed the battery but it won’t do anything not even a clicking noise, the door chime doesn’t come on and neither does the intstrument panel or the radio or the Sync screen but I have headlights , brake lights and the charging ports for the phone works, so I was thinking it’s a fuse , but have no idea which fuse it would be I have a 2018 ford escape s
I hear a grinding sound from the rear tire of my 2021 ford escape se from this obd2 report what could be the problem, I want you to act as an expert mechanic on 2021 ford escapes
