Can't get power to the fuel pump

Chevrolet Suburban 2003 5.8 284000 miles
I changed the fuel pump and now I don't have power to it. It's not coming on and I know it's good. It's a brand new.

Sometimes the newer fuel pumps will make you have to cut and splice the new wire for the new pump to the wire harness on you vehicle. I had to do this on a 2013 dodge charger. Used a multimeter to locate 12v and ground. Installation handbook will also have a diagram you may can follow.

Fuel pump relay

Chevrolet Suburban 2013  250000 miles
I noticed that the fuel pump relay is missing do you have to have a relay for that? I’ve had other relays stolen a few months ago and replaced them and now I’ve noticed that the fuel pump one is missing. Do you have to have it?
