Left rear driver side turn signal and brake light not working but right side seem to be okay. Bought new harness and light bulbs but doesn’t seem to fix the problem. Need help
Check the fuse box. I had to end up replacing the whole fuse box because the board in the fuse box gets to hot and shorts out the left side lights and also the windshield washer would make a weird sound when I used it. Replaced fuse box problem solved
@CraigIt was the ground connector to the fuse box under the hood. I tightened it down and it work but sometimes when your truck went over a bump the ground came loose again and same problem happened. Chevy really need to do something about their ground problem. Almost every Chevy truck has the same issue
Before taking my 2021 Silverado Trailboss into a dealership, I had changed the trailer connection cable, the connection socket on the rear bumper, and checked the fuse #84, (it was tested Good).
I explained to the dealership service technician all that had been tested and changed. I requested that the trailer brake control module be checked and replaced if needed. At first, I was told everything checked out as good. I insisted, at my cost, to go ahead and change the module. I have an extended warranty on the truck through 8/2028.
Good news, the technician managed to get the warranty company to accept a claim for the replacement of the part, $300! The replacement made the difference. I have now towed my enclosed without any warning alerts or chimes
I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 and I repeatedly get a "Service Trailer Brakes". I have replaced the harness plug on the bumper, the trailer brake module over the spare tire and the trailer brake controler on the dash. Still the problem persists.
The truck was doing fine and then all of a sudden the parking break light came on the dash. There is plenty of brake fluid. We checked that and the emergency brake works too. So why would the light be on.
I have no brake lights on my trailer, turn signinals work normal on trailer, check the fuses in the door jamb fuse panel and it's getting power to the fuse for the trailer turn siginals, but is not getting power to the fuse when you depress the brakes, does anyone have a solution?
Changed fuses, attached, factory wiring for aftermarket trailer breaks, I have power to trailer fir lights, turn signal, but still no power to trailer breaks ? Trying to install a break control, can not find an adapter that will not require me to cut wires .
Brakes lights went out at the same time. I have checked all known fuses, changed all bulbs, changed brake light switch, checked wires, cleaned all wiring
They worked last night and I think I turned them on when it was still daylight and they worked. Then once it got dark I was trying to go to the store and started driving down the road and noticed they weren't working. I was just going to turn my high beams on and drive like that but they aren't even working either. My turn signals work and nothing else. Not even the back running lights. We'll actually the back brake lights do work and also the turn signals
I was pulling trailer and my brake system light came on then it died. It will not start doesn't even try to start. Brake system light is on security light and battery light is on. With key off all my gages and running lights stay on
Removing and replacing emc and starter fuses under the dash is a temporary fix as i don't frive it much due to initial stalling and then stall with system shutout, no power.
My driver's side rear tire sounds like it's grinding rocks, and makes a very weird KKKKKKK sound anytime I am driving slow...and I have brand new breaks. It's driving me insane! NO mechanic can figure it out! And just to put it out there, I do not, nor have I ever had an Emergency Brake the entire time I have owned my truck since I bought it in 2013.
I have no headlights, dashboard lights, radio, no turn signals, hazards (flashers), the motor isn't shifting right and can't go over 45 mph it won't let me, the the speed odometer, gas, no power to windows but if I hold the brake pedal to the floor everything starts to work with warning lights on?
I have this problem when I apply my brakes, just as I'm about to stop my brake pedal has a slight vibration and creaking sound that is driving me crazy. Also pedal is softer than usual. Pads and rotors are good, pls. Help.
