Starting failure

Chevrolet Camaro 1994  197855 miles
Sometimes, the engine starts working at the first attempt, but suddenly stalls. If I try turning it on again quickly, nothing will happen. I need to wait for some seconds and only then it will start working again. Everything has been checked, and even the coil and distributor's cover and connectors have been replaced. When this failures occurs, there is no spark in the spark plugs. Sometimes, the following day the problem disappears and starts working without any problems. I would appreciate your help.

Starts and stalls

Chevrolet Camaro 1995  15000 miles
Good afternoon, I have a Camaro 95 v6 3.4 and my problem is that, when starting the engine, it stalls. I've already changed the ignition key as, at the beginning, the security appeared on the dashboard. After changing it, the indicator continued appearing, so the orange wire coming from the ignition cylinder was disconnected and a resistance of the same voltage was installed, but still no change. New coils and their plates were installed and even the fuel pump, filters and spark plugs were replaced, but without any positive results. I really don't know what can be happening. Thanks for your help.

Hi, have you checked the starter? And the crankshaft sensor?
Ode from United States 9 years ago
If you say that the security appeared it means that the alarm was activated, so I recommend you to take the car to an electrician and make him disconnect the wire. Remove the battery so that the computer resets. I recommend you to do this before buying the crankshaft sensor.

It won't start

Chevrolet Camaro 1997  76000 miles
My Camaro z28, 1997 suddenly does not start. The engine begins running but won't finally start working. Coils and the crankshaft sensor have been checked but everything seems to be alright. There is no spark in the spark plugs, and I was told it is the computer that is failing.

Buddy, I have a Camaro with exactly the same problem and, effectively, it turned out being a failure in the computer prom.

Oil pressure and engine noise

Chevrolet Camaro 1996  171000 miles
My Camaro's oil pressure drops to zero when it is at idle speed. When accelerating it, it only reaches a quarter of the pressure and, both at low or high speeds, the engine sounds as if it were not greased enough. I checked and found that it is the crankshaft that is making the noise. I don't know what is failing.

It might be a failure in the oil pump and be careful because it can damage the engine completely.

Fuel system

Chevrolet Camaro 2017 RS 2 l 30000 miles
I had the high pressure fuel pump fail 3 weeks ago, pumping gas all over the place. The dealer fixed it and a week and a half later, the check engine light came on for emission light came on. The code was that it was running too rich. The dealer fixed it and changed the oil. After 50 miles, I have the light on again, and once more have to get it back yo the dealer. This is starting to get very frustrating.

There is no spark

Chevrolet Camaro 1997  164000 miles
There is no spark. I've already checked the optispark and crankshaft sensor and they are both alright. The coil and ignition switch are working properly just as well. What might it be? Does the crankshaft sensor send the signal to the optispark, then to the ignition switch and finally to the coil or how does it work?
