It sat outside and we had a bunch of snow and the break pads rusted onto the rotors.

Keyfob is no longer activating central locking

Smart ForTwo 2010  70000 miles
Hi cute little car has a problem. The keys will no longer operate the central locking, leaving us in the position of not being able to lock the car unless were in it with the engine running. The locking became a bit hit and miss recently but with a few presses would eventually lock. It stopped working so I changed the batteries in both keys and still nothing. The old batteries showed 3v, the new ones 3.3v. The fuse is fine when tester put across it and the horn works also. If I start the car I can lock the doors from the dashboard. I cant find where the signal sensor for the central locking is using google. Has anyone else had this problem?

Abs problem

Smart ForTwo 2014  45000 miles
I changed the ABS sensor and the regulator, and everything works, but occasionally my ABS light comes on, and I lose performance and traction for a while. So I park my car and restart it after a few minutes or hours/days, and the ABS light is off and then comes back on for no apparent reason, like skidding or sliding. It's really annoying.

Did you disassemble the ABS bumper, or did you only replace the ABS sensor? Was it a brand new ABS sensor?

Dashboard went blank

Smart ForTwo 2010  130000 miles
Hello! The digital display on my old Smart Fortwo coupé suddenly went blank. I no longer have any information regarding my fuel level or mileage. Everything else still works fine—turn signals, windshield wipers, headlights, etc.—but I no longer have any audible warnings (for headlights left on or seatbelts), and the speedometer needle isn't moving either. I suspected a fuse issue given the car's age, but I can't seem to identify the relevant fuse(s) on the diagram. Thanks in advance for any feedback, and have a great day, everyone!

Cruise control intermittently inop

Smart ForTwo 2011  96000 miles
Works in the morning, doesn’t work in the afternoon!
Cruise light comes on but a speed won’t set or show in the dash.
Usually in the afternoon when the car has been sitting in the sun, 30-32C outside, hot in the car.
Often works for the morning commute.

Steering wheel locked

Smart ForTwo 2008  112874 miles
I wasn’t using the car for awhile and the battery went dead and it sat for several months with a dead battery. I finally got around to replace the battery and I got it connected and it took a little bit to get it started strain, but fired up. However, when I went to turn the wheel, the steering wheel lock wouldn’t disengage. I got a handheld code diagnose device to see if it was a code that was locking it out and nothing came up.

Any help or suggestions would be great.
