When I start my truck everything starts fine but when I turn the steering wheel ( left or right, rather it is in park or not) the power steering stops working the steering wheel gets real stiff and a red steering wheel and red exclamation start to blink every couple of seconds, but as soon as I turn my truck off then turn it back on it is back to normal until I try turning the steering wheel again.

The 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn is getting error code U0131 Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module. Fuse 2 (125A) has been checked on the battery, Fuse N7 (80A) has been checked, as well as fuse 35 (10A) Spare 10 Amp Red PCM / ECM / Power Pack Unit (PPU) Motor Generator Unit (M0 ke Up / EPS / Active Tuned Mass Module (ATMM) / ESP. Having a hard time locating the EPS negative bolt behind the passenger headlight.

I had some tuning fails in my 2016 ram 1500 hemi 5.7 and have been working at fixing it, first it wouldnt crank, then it wouldnt rev at all with check engine, traction control, and abs light on, then it wouldnt rev past 4k and check engine light was on, and i just worked on fixing all of this and now it says service power steering. None of these “mechanical issues” were here before tuning. So it has to be mostly electrical.
