Clutch pedal is broke

Ford F-150 1996 2wd manual transmission 160000 miles
Today, when driving home, I down shifted, to turn onto my street, when I pushed the clutch in, it went straight to the floor, and stayed there, like something snapped in there. There is a little plastic hook - looking thing, that indeed broke. What is this piece called? And how do I replace it?

Hi Edmond, did you check if you are losing clutch fluid?
Russell from United States 11 years ago
Try checking the master cylinder AND slave cylinder AND the line/tube for leaks. Good luck.
