The anti-theft or immobilizing system is automatic and it begins working as soon as the key is inserted. If the key is not the right one, this system activates different blockages in the car to prevent it from starting. It blocks the injection system and that disables the entire ignition system of the car.
Hello, my van's problem is that the engine starts whenever it wants and, when it doesn't, the anti-theft padlock appears and I have to wait for at least 15 minutes to start driving. The other faster way is to open the switch, disconnect a terminal and connect it intermittently many times, and it then starts. If anyone could help me, I would be really thankful.
What is causing your problem is the current inhibitor, which is a security anti-theft system. I recommend you to take it to the agency so that it is programmed together with your key. If it is damaged, the best thing to do is to replace it.
