2006 Ranger cruise control won't set speed. The light cone on when the on button is pressed but the set speed button doesn't work. Also, the horn works intermittently. I'm thinking it's the clock spring in the steering wheel. How can I confirm this and how hard is it to replace? Thanks.

So it started out one day when I hit the gravel back roads that I always take. My truck started jerking and acted like it wanted to die everytime I got on them. But after a few days my truck started to jerk when it was in fourth gear just cruising along at 40 to 50 miles an hour. Than one day it starts doing it in third or second. Than one day it just jerks and dies and than it did same thing but died twice. The thing is , is that it's the same symptoms but never constant. You never know when it will happen or in what gear but you know that within the day, it will happen. I can't figure it out and the mechanics I know are stumped too.

Ranger xls 2018... when on acc , connect caravan...light, brake all work... when turn on running... no power or anything working... I disconnect caravan... and test the trailer female connection from car...no power all dead... turn off...acc on all working... so fuse seem ok cos of acc... I think it's ignition relay or something cut off ??

I have a Ford Ranger Thunder. A few months ago while driving, it gave me an error message that the front camera is malfunctioning and it needs service. As a result, cruise control and distance assist doesn't work. I took it to a Ford dealer, and they wanted to charge me a lot of money to spend a week finding the fault. But it is expensive for a diagnostic.
