It has something to do with the inter cooler not being efficient.

Transmission kicking

My transmission is kicking, the other day it completely stopped letting me go over 20mph once I got home I deleted all the codes it had and it started running again, second and third gear give a big kick. I’m guessing it’s not the transmission but something electrical?

Alternator not charging batteries

The 2014 to 2020 F350's batteries are in parallel so it really shouldn't matter which you connect to, but i use the passenger battery since it is closer to the starter. I am not sure about late model F350's.

The brake switch that is activated at the break pedal is usually the problem. The actuator on the switch that comes in contact with the brake pedal extension bar has a silicone washer that most likely fell off the switch and can no longer engage the normally open switch. I haven't replaced the switch yet on mine but i adjusted the switch so that it would perform normally. I also found the silicone washer on the carpet beneath the break pedal.

Thank you for responding to my question as it turns out, it was a wire in the wiring harness that had broken once that was repaired all is well

Truck always starts and runs great. Went to start it the other day and it was a long crank, fired up but ran very rough at idle. Tried to move it and had no power. Pulled the fuel filter and cycled the key, no fuel coming into the bowl. Found power at the pump buts it's not running. I also found a chewed 14 awg green wire behind the fuse panel that I think might be related to the problem but don't know where it goes.

Does your '03 have a gas tank pump as well? my 2012 does. Diesels have filters that need to be changed regularly.

Multiple module faults trailer brake control fault, no pwr at RCM Solved

Multiple module faults. Trailer Brake Control Fault, advancTrac fault, Hill decent Assist fault, 911 assist offline. Airbag light. CD player continuously trying to eject a cd that isn't there.
Found no power to the fuses related to the Restraint Control Module and no power to the fuse related to the Trailer Brake Control. Codes showing no communication to RCM. I clear the codes and the Trailer Brake Control code comes right back and the no communication with RCM comes back. Disconnected battery. Etc.
Starting to think the Smart Junction Box (SBJ) has an issue. Trying to figure out how to confirm this.

My car has almost the same faults; it usually spends more time in the shop than on the road. I haven’t been able to find a definitive solution, and I hope to find a real fix for so many issues it keeps having. Friend, I’d love it if someone could help me.

I removed the SJB (smart junction box)
Or as I always call it. The interior fuse panel. I removed it. Took it apart. And found white corrosion inside on the circuit boards. According to chat gpt this is caused by leftover flux ftom when the soldering was done plus moisture. I cleaned it with qtips and rubbing alcohol. Put it back together. Hooked up the battery and drove it all weekend all over the place. All of the faults went away and i have power at those fuses in thst box. The cd player is still freaking out but that must be a separate issue.

My 2014 has issues like yours as well...thank you for the info! My CD goes into ghost mode as well. I go to blue tooth or radio, the CD will usually stop activating soon after.

Driving at highway speeds, no load, not towing, I hear a gear hum/bearing hum from behind the rear seats. What's the best way to isolate the rear axle and find the source?

If it was chirping, i would say the ujoints have an issue, but in your case i would jack up the entire truck and have someone listen from the sides of the truck towards the end of the transmission while another starts it up and puts it into gear. Be very careful! use heavy-duty jack stands and push on the truck vigorously to see if it is stable.

I found this video while searching for an issue with my truck. It talks about the same issue you are having. It was a bad internal relay at the SJB (smart junction box) basically the interior fuse panel. They show how to get around not buying a new SJB. I hope this helps

I’m having a similar issue. Shortly after buying my 13 f350 the running lights would not turn off, headlights and everything else worked fine. I replaced the headlight switch, now the headlights don’t work and the running lights still stay on. Put the old switch in, still no headlights. Running lights still on. Really hoping to fix this without paying ford the $1,200 for a new BCM that may or may not fix the issue.

No I did not I unplugged the horn I still hear the ding dong for about 10 minutes
When I turn the key off the lights stay on for about 10 minutes and it finally shuts off

The only thing I can think it's the BCM and I'm not going to put that much money into it it's annoying for 10 minutes I'll just live with it I guess

Be sure to check that cabin fuse box that another guy on this app cleaned up and had good success. Ill try to find the post for you later.
What odb2 scanner do you have? You’ll want one that is capable of monitoring live data, that way you can see what the pids are. One thing you can do that won’t cost you any money, just some time, is check all the bcm connectors/pins for corrosion.

Same circuit as wipers. I had same problem. If your wipers are working then remove the windshield washer reservoir. Small pump on bottom that just pulls out. I replaced mine with a Motorcraft part and now it works fine. I did test for power at the plug using a continuity tester. There are many videos on YouTube that show how to do this job.

My truck is going through about 5 quarts of oil a day. I just got the turbo changed, there was a small oil leak before but now it’s worse. When I go to hit the gas going up a hill, heavy black smoke comes out the back and it takes a while to realize I’m hitting the gas.
