Chevrolet Cruze 2012 5600 miles
It's the second time I have this problem: while using the electronic key I can open the car, but it doesn't start when I press the "start" button, and in the screen I get the text "Error code 67". According to the instructions I tried using the emergency start putting the key in the designated place but nothing changes. The lights in the dashboard won't even turn off. After around 10 minutes, the car starts like nothing happened. I would like to know if anybody else had this problem and knows why it happens and how to fix it. Thank you!

Dear fellows, I also have a Cruze and yesterday the starting system failed because of the Error Code 67 (steering lock) which is related to a switch underneath the steering wheel. They say there are a lot of cases with the same problem. Good luck!

I have fixed my problem with the infamous code 67, it's due to the fact that at some point I forced the steering wheel with the vehicle turned off, and since it is so fragile for being completely electronic, I broke the lock it has. I was forced to buy a new steering wheel lock system.

For me the final solution was to take it to the service and reset the computer, just as they said there when they first saw the error. The problem hasn't appeared again after three months.

The car just makes a clicking sound then I let the park brake off put my foot on the brake then the clutch and it starts no problem

Guys i had the same problem i had to wiggle the box under the steering to make it work. I dont knw if the problem will cone back again.

I found that the cable connection between the fuse box and the battery was loose.

Just went to start my car and without any prior indication that there may be a problem...it won't fire up... It cranks over ok but doesn't even look like starting... The engine light stsys on too.

Problem sorted... apparently what can happen is... if you start your car shift it 10 metres and then turn it off and leave it... It can trap fuel in the system and flood it... it will not start unless you put the accelerator to the floor... common problem...

It just died one day then nothing it drains the batteries. I changed the fuse box and i get nothing before hand not one sound just lights not after changing the fuse box it only cranks no start. Also there's a squeaky sound while the engine cranks could it be a cam sensor or BCM or a timing issue? I need hell getting it to start.

Hi! I have a Chevrolet Cruze J305 Diesel-2013. The car doesn't start at cold weather. I went to a service and they checked the spark plugs and it seem to be fine. They changed the car relay, the temperature sensor, the battery, water pump, the diesel filtre. The problem is still there. Is there anyone who had this problem? What can I do? Thanks.

If it's a diesel and they charged you to change the spark plugs then you need to find another shop to go to and I would also get a lawyer. Diesels do not have spark plugs. They have glow plugs. If your glow plugs are bad then that's why your car will not start in cold weather. Glow plugs preheat the cylinders so the combustion process is easier. It will still run with bad glow plugs. It will only be harder to start if bad.
