Accerlation hesitation

Chevrolet Cruze 2017  97000 miles
Car runs good, but at times after driving for a while....at a red light or stop sign i start to accelerate and the car feels like it has lil power for about 3 - 5 seconds then picks up. Ive changed the turbo, inlet hose, intercooler, mounts, coolants lines to/from turbo, sensors, pcv hose what should be next?

Same issue! Same with running the air! I just want my car back normal
ChevyBrat420 from United States 2 months ago
Can't run the air conditioner while driving or the car loses basically all power when having to stop and then started telling me again it takes a minute for to accelerate... Hesitates like crazy sometimes especially when it gets hot if going speeds 45 and up makes a whiny humming constant sound and sometimes when excelling it seems like the tachometer goes up a little too far and it seems like it shifts a little slow. And when going 4550 at sometimes let's talk a burning smell not like oil burning or rubber burning and unexplainable burning smell and the catalytic converter and O2 sensor for both changed about 6 months ago and then check engine light still on for Cadillac converter in my heat up because of excelling it kind of sounds like clicking sound sometimes in a lot of heat coming from under the car and under the hood most of the time can't even pull out the oil dipstick because it's got a lot of suction or it's stuck and it runs really hot from the feel of it and it stays hot after shutting it off for an extremely extremely long time took it to multiple mechanics and garages and everybody had different answers and the valve cover gasket was replaced also like 6 months ago

Overheating and thermostat

Chevrolet Cruze 2010  90000 miles
It's been three years since I bought my car and it has 90000 km and its problem is that it is overheating and the antifreeze evaporates. I've been checking it and noticed that there is liquid near the thermostat, so it seems to be the thermostat that is failing. What do you think?

Hi, by what you say, it seems evident that the thermostat is damaged and thus is no longer useful. You should change it, as well as plumbing the radiator so that the water can flow easily and thus not have overheating problems. I hope my comment helps you.

The car doesn't start at cold weather

Chevrolet Cruze 2013 Hatchback 80000 miles
Hi! I have a Chevrolet Cruze J305 Diesel-2013. The car doesn't start at cold weather. I went to a service and they checked the spark plugs and it seem to be fine. They changed the car relay, the temperature sensor, the battery, water pump, the diesel filtre. The problem is still there. Is there anyone who had this problem? What can I do? Thanks.

If it's a diesel and they charged you to change the spark plugs then you need to find another shop to go to and I would also get a lawyer. Diesels do not have spark plugs. They have glow plugs. If your glow plugs are bad then that's why your car will not start in cold weather. Glow plugs preheat the cylinders so the combustion process is easier. It will still run with bad glow plugs. It will only be harder to start if bad.

Persistent P0420 Code

Chevrolet Cruze 2015 LT, Turbo 111000 miles
My check engine light keeps coming back on with the code P0420 on my 2015 Chevy Cruze LT. I've replaced the front catalytic converter, both O2 sensors (one is aftermarket and one is GM made based on advice from a Chevy mechanic), replaced all the spark plugs, replaced coolant hoses, the coolant container, did a smoke test and found no leaks... I'm out of ideas on how to fix this code. The car drives just fine unless I ride it hard (fast accelerations and/or high speeds for long distances), then it will stutter and the check engine light will flash. If I back off and give it a few moments, the… Read complete

Have you fixed it yet I have the same problem
Zenny from United States a year ago
No, still haven't fixed it. I asked on Reddit and some people think the fact that I replaced the original catalytic converter with an aftermarket one could be the issue. Did you replace yours with a GM cat or aftermarket cat?
Abaa from United States a year ago
I got a 2013 Chevy Cruze mine stuttered too at one point I would check your coil pack because if one of those things goes out I will make your car misfire and stutter that’s what my issue was. As for the p0420 code I have the same thing I’ve replaced my catalytic converter and my o2 sensors but this whole time the problem has just been a small exhaust leak

A/C auto disabled and fan constantly runs

Chevrolet Cruze 2011  110000 miles
The display says the AC is turned off because it’s too hot. However, it says this when I first start the vehicle. The fan also immediately starts running, and when I turn the engine off after driving, the fan stops, it doesn’t continue to run as if the engine is overheating. I have no signs of the engine overheating.
The temperature gauge constantly stays at C, it does not ever deviate away from it. I checked my radiator fluid and it was dry. I filled it up and it is at the same level and hasn’t moved since which was about 10 days ago.

I am having the same issue. So was the radiator fluid the problem?
Deedee from United States 25 days ago
I am in the process of getting it fixed. Im pretty sure my mechanic said it needed a piece that connected to the coolant and he was replacing the thermostat. He is charging me 80 bucks for that (he helps people at poverty level) but regardless where you go it should be a simple fix and should not cost a whole lot.

Engine Vibrates and Sometimes Stalls on Cold Start

Chevrolet Cruze 2013 1.4 Tubo AT 246000 miles
Hello All,

When starting the engine in cold conditions, it vibrates and sometimes stalls. Occasionally, steam comes from the turbo area, which smells like antifreeze. After the engine warms up, it runs smoothly, and no steam appears.
Thank you in advance
