Problem with my car SolvedSolved

Volkswagen Jetta 2001  120000 miles
I own a standard Jetta 1.8T 2001 and, after perfectly starting the car and changing from first to second gear, EPC and ASR indicators turn on. I stop the car and it is not stable enough, revolutions go up and down. I then turn off the car, start it again and the same problem appears. Occasionally, after a while of driving and braking, the car stalls. Filters and spark plugs have been checked, injectors cleaned but everything is still the same. Could you please help me? It is really worrying and even dangerous. Thank you.

In case someone has my same problem, this was the solution to my problem: acceleration body cleanse, coils harness replacement and engine relay change (N° 428), which is located behind the MAF sensor, right next to the fire wall. Hope it helps someone.

I have slightly the same problem. At 200km/h the vehicle engine light start flashing then the EPC light appears from there the car looses power unless I stop nd switch it off then start again.

Desaccelerates SolvedSolved

Volkswagen Jetta 2003  200000 miles
Hi... when driving my car on the street, the engine suddenly desaccelerates and revolutions go up to 4.0 and the engine feels absolutely strained. When I then press the accelerator, it won't go over 50 mph. It's been a week since this problem appeared for the first time, what can it be?

Many things might be causing your problem: a lack of tuning, uncalibrated TPS or some damaged sensor. You should check the spark plugs and their wiring, as well as the engine itself, which might be needing a service.

It was a throttle issue because when you put it down to drive it slips down the S without knowing. Sucks.

Ypically, engines idle at about 600-800 rpm. Older engines may go up to 1200 rpm or more while warming up. But if the engine is revving up while idling, even after it's sufficiently warmed up, you might have a problem. High idle speeds waste fuel, cause extra wear and tear on your engine, and can be unsafe as well.
