Engine rotates but wont start in the morning

Hyundai Elantra 2004  80000 miles
My Car won't start in the cold morning. Engine rotates but does not fire. I thought something to do with oil pressure sensor connector problem, as when I spray wd40 on all connectors like air flow, oil pressure etc, it starts but again in few days it gives the same problem.

Have to keep the oil at a certain temp it will be too cold for the oil to the to the block. When u spray with the wd40 it warms those connections to gain fluid movement. My suggestion is maybe a Benson burner or possibly a heavier weight oil for the colder months to avoid freezing. Seasonal oil change lol. This also helps prevent burning the oil and the sludge.

I will try that, thanks

Starting

Hyundai Elantra 2000  200000 miles
I need some help with my Elantra. There is no problem to start the engine but, when turning it off and starting it back, it won't work. I've already checked spark plugs, wiring and the electrical system and don't know what else to do. It is only after a waiting for a couple of hours that the engine will start again. The coil is not heating and I have no idea what it can be its problem. I would really appreciate any help.

I am a mechanic and, by the things you are talking about, I would definitely say it is a coil's failure. There are two types of coils for the Elantra, one with a single connection and another one with three. Check which one is yours.

Engine failure

Hyundai Elantra 2014  31068 miles
Purchased new in 2014. All maintenance done according to recommendations. I have all paper work for oil changes. At 50,000 Kim's ticking in engine started. New engine installed in2016. Today I took my car in for engine ticking, told I needed a new engine. Mileage is 99,999 Kms. Unbelievable that a car would require 2 new engines by 100,000 kms. There is some serious engineering issues with this engine. Now I'm scared my car will catch fire or just malfunction and cause an accident. Hyundai needs to be held accountable for these problems. Major law suit in US. Looking to see if one has been started here.

MLG Merchant Law in Regina has started a class action law suit against Hyundai Canada in regards to engine failure. Call them if this affects you. Also transport Canada is currently doing an investigation into engine failures. Call Mark Williams at Transport Canada.

Engine needs to be replaced

Hyundai Elantra 2014 Automatic sedan 70000 miles
My 2014 Hyundai Elantra is lady driven, well maintained. The oil light started flashing just before Christmas which led to multiple visits to the dealership. There is tapping coming from the engine. I was told the entire engine is gone, and as it is just outside the warranty it will cost $9,000+ to replace. Dealership is not very helpful. I expected the car to last more than 130,000km. Poor value for money and buyer beware!

Bella You need to Register your Complant with Hyundai Canada. There is a recall on 1.4 million cars and SUV s in the world with stemming from Piston Slap that's what Hyundai calls it Fight them as they are pushing customers into new cars and adding Debt of old car onto you. Better for them a financial ruin for the customer I'm in the same boat. It wouldnot matter if the car was painted with Lemons it is a Hyundai Manufacturing failure and NOT the customers fault it doest say the date on your comment but mine started 1000km over warrenty in Oct 2017 Do more research and make it public I have been in touch with OMVIC Transport Canada Safty Dept Marketplace and Global TV.

Stalls when driving

Hyundai Elantra 1997  280000 miles
When driving and stopping, at a traffic lights for example, the engine stalls. A long time must be waited for the engine to start again. The vehicle was scanned and a coils failure was indicated, but they were changed and the problem persists.

Buddy, in the induction body there is a little membrane, which must be damaged or broken, causing the problem you are talking about. You need to disassemble
the induction body, clean it properly, remove the membrane and replace it by an identical, but new one. I hope you can solve your problem

I have the exact same problem and would appreciate if you could tell us where the induction body is located as I cannot find it. Thanks!

Check the pcv valve, its on the valve cover had the same problem engine couldnt vent, pressure builds up causing hesitation and stalling, valve cover oil leak or other oil leak usually accompanies this issue.

Something to check is the voltage at the battery. The battery only starts the car and the alternator generates power. A battery is 12.6V or 12.8V when the car is off. When the car is running the battery is being powered by the alternator and you should read more like 14.6 volts on the battery posts. Easy to check with a multimeter. I had an exhaust leak under the hood and that was killing the alternator. Sometimes the alternator will make voltage and then sometimes it would be dead and the battery would get low. Something to look into is the alternator as this also doesn't throw a code to make a check engine light come on.

Won't start after I get my oil changed

Hyundai Elantra 2014  67000 miles
Every time I have my oil changed within 2days tops my car won't start. I put it on charge all day and it shows 100% but go to crank it and it won't until u put jumper on it and it cranks immediately. Last time I got a new battery and didn't have problems till this oil change 2 days ago. What is causing this and what do I do? I have only had this car a little over a year with this being my only problem.

The battery that you purchased are there cells you can device or are the stops sealed? Serviceable batteries may just need distilled water tube able to hold a charge or even recharge after starting.

Engine noise, rear suspension tilt

Hyundai Elantra 2010  41000 miles
Before reaching 1000 km, my car started having an engine noise and a constant jingle. The rear suspension had a strong tilt, so it was changed. The jingle did not disappear even when using the best fuel available (97 octanes). The cylinder head was opened to decarbonise and, after that, the coolant started being consumed and the cabin heated. I suddenly noticed as well that there was oil poured through all the engine.
