Chevrolet Blazer 2000 BLAZER V6 4.3 4DR 2WD 153000 miles
I purchased a 2000 chevy blazer 4dr 2wd 4.3 v6. I looked up online for the wiring diagram for the stock stereo. And then went and found the diagram for the new stereo. New stereo due to the old one with bose with cd and tape not working. Out with the old in with the new. When i was done. I still had 3 wires that i could not account for coming from the blazer. I taped them off and continued on. With the amp i grounded it and connected the remote turn on from the deck. And with the +12v constant to the amp i saw an open spot on the fuse box just inside the drivers door. Located at the bottom of the fuse box 2nd slot. Only 1 clip inside the slot not 2 like normal fuses. For 2 or so weeks no problems. Then all of a sudden my dash lights that normally turn on when you turn the key stopped working except the check engine like. Fuel gauge, door locks, stereo, amp, heater, speed ometer, odometer, interior lights, and something else stopped working. At night sometimes, i can start the blazer and then turn the switch for my headlights on. And everything will turn on like i had just turned the key. Will not work durning the day at all. I removed the deck to see if everthing would go back to norm but. No. Check all of my wiring to ensure everything was correct. Yes. Please tell me what the hell i did or should have known not to do. There is also a clicking that goes with this that comes from the passanger side under the dash. Flasher relay. I replaced it and it still does the same thing. But no clicking with my foot on the brake. Please tell me what i messed up and how to fix. Please. I don't need anything else to go wrong with this blazer. This after having the motor rebuildt due to a shop screwing up.
