Check engine light and power loss

Nissan Pathfinder 2003  116000 miles
The first problem that appeared was the the check engine light remains turned on. The error code suggests that there is a fuel leakage. The smoke machine was connected but nothing could be detected. I've changed the fuel lid but the check engine light is still on. The other problem that it has is power loss: when I am driving along an uphill road, the car won't go over 20 mph. If I remove the gear and put it neutral then the acceleration problem disappears. An error code has appeared suggesting that there is a valve failing but my mechanic said that was not the cause. It's been a year that I'm driving with these two inconvenients, can someone help me please?

Why don't you visit another mechanic and see what he suggests? It happened to me and, after visiting four different experts, the last found the cause of the problem and it was nothing too huge or expensive that needed to be repaired.

HI There, I have the same problem with my Nissan Pathfinder my mechanic said that the exhaust gas regulator value was very badly clogged up with carbon dioxide deposits. He found that problem the second time I complained that the engine light was on and on occasions power loss when accelerating. If I stopped and turned off the car then started it again the power came back.

2009 2.5 diesel automatic Pathfinder sudden stalling at low revs

Nissan Pathfinder 2009 2.5Diesel automatic 125000 miles
My recently purchased Pathfinder suddenly developed stalling at low revs / idle in slow moving traffic or at traffic lights etc. It would start again each time with some revs but progressively the stalling became too regular and dangerous. I had the AA out who diagnosed a malfunctioning Throttle Position Sensor. I replaced that (10min job) and had the ECU accept the replacement. An hr in and the stalling returned!!...Spoke with my very learned 4x4 mechanic who had come across this situation across other vehicle brands before and suggested I replace the Crankshaft Sensor and possibly the Camsha… Read complete

Maf air flow scensor or suction control valve. Try that first before outlaying big money.
