This sensor aims at a serrated disc that is placed in one of the crankshaft ends and by counting these notches it can know in which position the crankshaft is placed and, at the same time, it can knows the position of every piston. If the engine stops starting all of a sudden, this sensor may be malfunctioning.
Hi everyone, this is my situation: due to temperature problems, the cylinder head gasket was changed. Once assembled back, it wouldn't start. The starting motor turns but he engine won't start, what means, it has no injection. The camshaft sensor has been checked and it sends the right pulsations, just as the crankshaft sensor, but the computer won't give pulse to the injectors. That is the one and huge problem. What might have happened? May have some anti-crash switch been activated? I hope someone can help me. Thanks! It would be really helpful if anyone had the injection system's diagram of the Nissan Frontier/Navara/pickup, depending on your country.
