Nissan Elgrand 2014 Campervan Conversion 64000 miles
My Elgrand appears to have an electrical fault, I can’t use the remote key access (changed battery in fob but no difference). I can gain access with the key but then no electrics so can’t activate start switch.
Guess it’s an immobiliser problem, anyone know a good auto electrician local to Blackburn, Lancashire?
To troubleshoot the issue, I recommend trying the following steps:
Check the battery in the key fob. Make sure the battery is charged and properly installed. If the battery is low or damaged, it could cause the key fob to not function properly.
Check the antenna ring. The antenna ring is responsible for transmitting the signal from the key fob to the vehicle. If the antenna ring is damaged or not functioning properly, it could cause the key fob to not work properly.
Check the security system. The security system is responsible for disabling the engine when the key is not present. If the security system is malfunctioning, it could cause the engine to not start.
If you are unable to identify the source of the problem or if the issue persists after checking these components, I recommend having a mechanic diagnose and repair the issue to ensure that the problem is properly addressed and the vehicle is safe to drive.
As for a recommendation for a good auto electrician in Blackburn, Lancashire, I would suggest searching online for reviews and ratings of local auto repair shops or asking for recommendations from friends or family members who have had experience with auto repair in your area. It may also be helpful to contact your local Nissan dealership for a recommendation.
