Does not accelerate, stalls and rpms jump up and down SolvedSolved

Nissan Altima 1999  30000 miles
I have an automatic 1999 Nissan Altima. When I start my car everything seems normal, both in neutral and in parking. However, when I change to any other gear, the engine sound very weak and revolutions drop. As soon as I accelerate rpms drop abruptly and if I try to move the car's the engine shuts off. Can you help me?

Ok, I could solve the engine and unsteady rpms problem by changing a wire, the distributor's cap and rotor. Now I can throttle the car without problems, but there is a new problem: after 20 mins it stalls and it does not start for the next hour. Any idea?

Solved! The solution was changing the distributor. The problem was the ignition coil inside the distributor, that shut off the engine when it got hot.

Throttle body cleaning

Nissan Altima 2003  229000 miles
My problem is that after I cleaned the throttle body and maf sensor, when I start the car it accelerates and deccelerates, and when I start driving the car jerks and hesitates, and the revolutions go up and down. Does anybody know what I can do to solve this?

Take it to get the throttle body scanned with a cj4 scanner, you can also do it manually but it takes longer

I had same issue for my Altima, you have to reconfigure the throttle body. Either with a scanner andor program it urself
