I put regular gas into my tank and now my Eclipse won't start. SolvedSolved

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2007 Spider Eclipse 105000 miles
I was putting regular gas into my car for approximately 2 years. The price of gas went up to $4.95. Now my car is turning, however it will not start. How can I fix the problem? What can I mix the current gas in my tank with premium gas.

I had a similar problem with 2000 eclipse GT. My issue ended up being the distributor. They have 2 dif ones... 2000-2002 have L shape fuse box under hood and only fits them years. They have a 1 pole cam trigger. 2003+ have a square fuse box and have a 4 pole cam trigger. I changed out with a used distributor and cured my no start! Hope it helps.

Would a bad distributor still give you spark? Is it possible that a bad distributor will still give you spark?

Stalls and does not start

Mitsubishi Eclipse 1996  130000 miles
A week ago, I was driving normally when the car stalled. It was really hard to make the engine start again and it was only after a long time trying over and over again. I could finally start driving it back but only for a while, because it stalled once more. This event has repeated many times and I really do not know what to do, because the vehicle starts and stops whenever it wants. What can it be? Thank you.

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a 2.4 the timing belt went out on it I had it replaced along with the crank sensors you got knocked out too driving is about 3 miles it just quit running I pulled over headed back to the shop and I'll pick it up from there I looked it over discovered that I did the test and test on the crank sensor and I got the 12 coming in on the red-eye will not leave and then -12 going out of the ground on the ground wire and the signal wire all I got out of it was a 5 which means it's on but it wouldn't turn the family wouldn't turn off when I was turning the crank by hand but then I took it off and look at it it kind of fell apart my hands this is the new one so I wouldn't bought a new one I put it on the car and try to crack in the same thing I got to crank but no start no no fire no spark

Car wont start and doesnt even sound like its trying to

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2003 2.4L 4 Cyl. automatic 150000 miles
My car has been sitting in my yard for the last 6 months because i bought a new car and didnt need it anymore. I finally decided that i am going to sell it and when i went to start it up it wouldnt start. At first i thought it was the battery because it sat for so long but the battery is fairly new and even after charging it up it still wouldnt start. After that i thought it might be the starter so i removed it and took it to an auto parts store where they tested it and said it was still good. When i turn the key all i hear is a humming sounds but nothing happens. I have no idea what esle to try. If anyone can help me with this problem i would greatly appreciate it.

Im having the same problem except after I tried starting it I heard a clicking noise that persisted even after I removed the keys from my car! So I opened my fuse box under my hood and after pulling 2 grey square shaped things also located in the fusebox (middle&right, both have a horn type symbol on the fuse lid) the clicking stopped but what i don't get is how can they still click when my battery is dead (my assumption) also what are they and are they expensive to fix?

Will crank but won't turn over

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2006 Coop manual 4 cylinder 136000 miles
I have installed a keyless push button start in my car(simple fact I was trying to be cheap) but not my car will crank but will not turn over. I'm getting fuel to the injectors, everything is wired properly but still won't start. Would the computer need to be reprogrammed in order to start the car due to the new ignition system

Either the crankshaft position sensor is out or when you put the button in you might have triggered the security system when trying to start does a green light flash on the dash cluster

There could be several reasons why your car won't start, including a lack of fuel, a problem with the ignition system, or a malfunction in the engine management system.
To determine the cause of the problem, you can start by performing a few basic checks:

Check the fuel level: Make sure there is enough fuel in the tank to start the engine. If the fuel level is low, add more fuel and try starting the engine again.
Check the battery: If the battery is weak or dead, the engine won't start. Try jump-starting the car or charging the battery.
Check the spark plugs: Spark plugs are responsible for igniting the fuel in the engine. If they are dirty or worn, they can cause the engine to misfire or not start at all.
Check the fuel pump: If the fuel pump is not working, the engine won't receive enough fuel to start. You can try checking the fuel pump by listening for the sound of the pump when you turn the key to the "on" position.
Check the starter motor: If the starter motor is not working, the engine won't turn over when you turn the key.

Does not start

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2002  75000 miles
When turning the ignition key, I can listen the engine is turning but the car won't start working completely, no matter what I do. The fuel pump is working correctly and it has electrical current, but still the engine won't start. The computer detected a failure in the crankshaft sensor, can it be that the cause of my problem? Thanks.
