Car wont start and doesnt even sound like its trying to

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2003 2.4L 4 Cyl. automatic 150000 miles
My car has been sitting in my yard for the last 6 months because i bought a new car and didnt need it anymore. I finally decided that i am going to sell it and when i went to start it up it wouldnt start. At first i thought it was the battery because it sat for so long but the battery is fairly new and even after charging it up it still wouldnt start. After that i thought it might be the starter so i removed it and took it to an auto parts store where they tested it and said it was still good. When i turn the key all i hear is a humming sounds but nothing happens. I have no idea what esle to try. If anyone can help me with this problem i would greatly appreciate it.

Im having the same problem except after I tried starting it I heard a clicking noise that persisted even after I removed the keys from my car! So I opened my fuse box under my hood and after pulling 2 grey square shaped things also located in the fusebox (middle&right, both have a horn type symbol on the fuse lid) the clicking stopped but what i don't get is how can they still click when my battery is dead (my assumption) also what are they and are they expensive to fix?

Stalls when driving

Mitsubishi Eclipse 1998  50000 miles
Hi, I have an Eclipse 1998 american version and my problem is that sometimes, when accelerating, it does not respond properly and tends to choke. When releasing the accelerator and clutching, revolutions normalize. However, when braking slowly in neutral or even when clutching to then start braking, the vehicle sometimes stalls. It also happens to me that, when it is working normally and I am driving only with the clutch, it accelerates and decelerates by itself continuously. I cannot try to overtake a car because it starts choking and feels as if there was no fuel being burnt in the cylinders… Read complete

You should change the speed sensor located in the gearbox and your problem will disappear.

You think that can be the problem, priscilla? When the car fails, the speedometer works properly. I will check it anyway and tell you if it worked. Thank you very much for your comment.

Will crank but won't turn over

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2006 Coop manual 4 cylinder 136000 miles
I have installed a keyless push button start in my car(simple fact I was trying to be cheap) but not my car will crank but will not turn over. I'm getting fuel to the injectors, everything is wired properly but still won't start. Would the computer need to be reprogrammed in order to start the car due to the new ignition system

Either the crankshaft position sensor is out or when you put the button in you might have triggered the security system when trying to start does a green light flash on the dash cluster

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2012 Convertible 2.4L 46800 miles
Installed an aftermarket head unit and backup cam. Since the addition of the backup cam the speedometer, odometer and gear display are all not working. A/T circuit error code displayed. I've checked the relays, wiring and grounds all seem fine. Any thoughts anyone?
