Looking for the best location to access the dashboard instrument and accessory light wire. This is the wire that lights up the blue LEDs on the accessory switches. I believe it is yellow in color. I can access a yellow wire on an existing accessory switch harness, but the harnesses do not have much slack, and the wires are only small 26 gauge (approx. ) wires. Looking for this to light up additional switches. (Note this is not a power wire and is only for instrument/switch indicator lights. )
Is it in fact a yellow wire? Would the best place to access this wire be at the relay output - assuming there is a relay. Help!
Edit: A little more info:
This is a Raptor OEM style switch from Amazon for a 5th gen 4 Runner that has a 4-wire harness on the back. The switch has a ground (black), signal power in (green), signal power out (red), and a dash light wire (yellow in this case). There are two blue LEDs in the switch. Right now, I have the red and yellow wires tied to the relay coil wire and the switch lights up when activated. It'd be nice to tie the yellow wire to the dash light circuit.
From additional research I've done, it looks like the Toyota factory solid green in the existing switch harnesses is for dash lights. Yes?
