Was gifted a 2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 from my father in September 2023. it was this last weekend that I discovered that the third break wasn’t working so puled the light assembly off the cab and saw the bulb was burnt out so I replaced it fully expecting to work like normal but it didn’t. I cant tell for sure but from what I’ve read and investigated both the third brake light and the cargo lights are controlled by the same fuse. However, when you get in the fuse box, there are separate fuses and neither were blown. The cargo lights do turn on and work well. So here’s the kicker, the light assembly uses a small wiring harness which has all 3 lightbulb plugs attached to it. Obviously there is power making it to harness because both cargo lights on either side of the brake light turn on but not the brake light. im confused.
