Radio and electrics

Honda Civic 2011 1800 SOHC i-VTEC 58000 miles
I can get the radio and CD and Aux to work sometimes but mostly not working. The CD player actually plays the disc but no sound. When I start the car it shows 'RADIO 1' with a telephone symbol. As soon as i press any button on the device it immediately changes the display to '1 AF ON' with the telephone symbol but nothing works when pressed and no sound. The Central locking sometimes stops working but opens with the key. I also looked at the dashboard layout with the ignition on for about 15 to 20 minutes and the car would not turn over. But after another 5 to 10 minutes suddenly worked fine.… Read complete

It sounds like there could be a few different issues with your Honda Civic. The radio and CD player not working, the central locking system malfunctioning, and the battery issues could all be related or separate problems.
It is possible that the battery with dead cells is causing the electrical problems in the vehicle, including the radio and CD player, and the central locking system. If the battery is weak, it may not be providing enough power to all of the electrical components, which can result in them not functioning properly.
However, it is also possible that there is a separate issue with the electrical system, such as a wiring problem, a blown fuse, or a problem with the alternator. In this case, a new battery would not solve the problem.
I would recommend having a professional mechanic inspect the vehicle to diagnose the issue and recommend the necessary repairs. They can perform a full electrical system check to determine the root cause of the problem and ensure that all of the components are functioning properly.

Thanks Bruce. I will get it checked out before it gets worse.

This is happening to me. I had starter, battery, alternator replaced and ignition control module. It still is wonky. It goes from am to FM to aux, to not working to turning on and it being very loud and it just beeps and beeps. It's crazy. I believe it's another faulty ignition control module. But the dealership won't even consider it being that. I explained to them that when they first put it in it worked great and after a day it's bad again and now my key fob with new battery does not lock/unlock my car. They key works great but that's my issue. I only have 134k miles.

2012 Honda Civic Coupe - Issue After Replacing Battery

Honda Civic 2012 Coupe 66000 miles
My car sat all winter. I just replaced the battery, and now warning lights remain ON. The stereo won't work, either...nothing happens when I press "Source" and nothing happens when I try to turn on the radio/CD player.
I am afraid to drive the vehicle, but it was in perfect working condition when I last drove it.
Through my research, I learned a few things...it could be sensors or fuses. Or, I could drive it around and see if the lights go off?

I need advice!

Car whistle after engine is off

Honda Civic 2019 SedAn 62000 miles
After I shut car off it makes a quiet whistling humming and whirring noise like a tiny motor or like a CD player makes when spinning the disc. It doesn't fade or stop either
