2011 Accord EX-L problems

Honda Accord 2011 EX-L Sedan 2.4L 5A
Transmission makes a loud whining noise. Dealer diagnosed a power steering rack fluid leak. I'm told very unusual for only approx. 46k miles. No recalls for this year model yet. The repair estimate is over $1500. My 36k mile warranty is expired so dealer won't cover the repair. I bought a honda because i heard and believed they were very good cars. I no longer have that belief! i will not purchase another honda. No other maker has required extensive repair work at such low mileage.

Problem Accord 2013 EX 4dr 4cyl

Honda Accord 2013 EX Sedan 2.4L CVT
2013 honda accord: i was driving about 35 mph and suddenly i felt the steering wheel get stiff and immediately the indicator light came on the dashboard indicating my electronic power steering system had an issue. I slowed down promptly in the road (no one was behind me) and it took all i had to turn the wheel to get it off the road. I turned the car off for a moment just as the honda manual instructed and when i turned the car back on, nothing had changed, still light on the dash and no possible way of me turning that wheel. I called aaa and the driver of aaa can vouch for this because it wa… Read complete

2013 Accord EX-L fix

Honda Accord 2013 EX-L Coupe 2.4L CVT
I turned my vehicle on and had no power steering. The power steering light was on, indicating that there was a problem. I was able to drive it to the dealer where they told me the power steering torque had gone bad. To repair the vehicle, i would need to have the power steering rack replaced - over $2k! although my vehicle is less than 2 years old, i have passed the 35k mile warranty. This is a pretty painful bill to be forced to pay with such a new car!! why is this not recalled if so many are having issues with this?!!

Problems 2013 Accord

Honda Accord 2013
On 11/22/14 i was driving on a small residential street going under 15mph approximately 5 feet from the turn i was going to be making. A right hand turn. I heard a bang and my steering completely locked up. I hit the curb causing my right front passenger tire to blow. The steering was completely locked up and the vsa light was on. I followed the instructions in the owners manual and turned the car off and then on again which shut the vsa light off and the tow truck driver was able to turn the wheel slightly but made a terrible clunking noise. The vehicle was towed to the dealership where it wa… Read complete

Problem 2011 Honda Accord EX-L

Honda Accord 2011 EX-L V-6 Coupe 3.5L 5A 46000 miles
The dealership advised that the power steering rack was leaking the fluid and would have to be replaced. I know there was a recall for this same thing on earlier model honda accords. I wonder if it's still an issue as my car is just over 3 years old and only 46,000 miles. *tr

Problems 2012 Accord EX-L

Honda Accord 2012 EX-L V-6 Sedan 3.5L 5A
I noticed my steering was getting hard to turn. I checked the power steering fluid and it was low. I added fluid. As time continued the steering problem got worst. While driving the steering was good, but i had to use manual power while getting out of parking spaces, or when having to turn while vehicle was stopped. I explained the problem to my local honda service technician and he told me i added too much fluid and it should go away after a while. It got worst and i took it back after a few months. He then told me that the fluid went down to the cv boot and the steering rack; the quoted cost… Read complete

2013 Honda Accord problems

Honda Accord 2013 Touring V-6 Sedan 3.5L 6A
While driving at approx. 25 mph, suddenly the power steering completely failed and power steering warning light came on. As i was only a couple of blocks from home, i was able to hard steer it home. Spouse turned engine off, started it back up and power steering reset. Took it to the dealer. Did diagnostic and determined :
diagnose eps system per isis. Found faulty torque sensor. Replace complete power steering rack and perform alignment. After reading other similar complaints, i am hopeful that this will not happen again. It is extremely dangerous when this happens.

Problems 2010 Accord EX-L 2.4L

Honda Accord 2010 EX-L Sedan 2.4L 5A 5000 miles
Knocking noise at low speed 5 to 10 mph. Appears to be in steering rack. Thought perhaps brakes but we have eliminated those. Popping noise can felt when moving steering wheel right to left and idle with or without engine running and holding hand on tie rod ends. Dealer says there is no problem but steering is not safe with this being felt. Car has 5000 miles on odometer and is 4 months old. It just started 1 day at about 4500 miles. The longer it is driven in a day the louder the noise becomes. *tr
