AC failure. Blowing hot air

Honda Accord 2013 EX-L 29000 miles
AC was not working. Took it to the dealer and I was told the refrigerant was low and needed to be topped off. No leaks were detected. Car was still under warranty. Now a year later the same problem (I live in WI and therefore the AC usage is minimal) happened. I took it to my garage and here they tell me I need new compressor and new condenser. Now the car is out of warrants (still under 36,000 miles) but surpassed the 3 years. Looking at repair cost of $1500. This is not ethical. Why did the dealer not probe deeper when low refrigerant was detected ? I guess because the car was still under warranty ?

Thermometer keeps getting stuck + mysterious knocking noise rear door

Honda Accord 2018 Sport, 1.5T 8000 miles
Been back to the dealership 4 times and am scheduled for a 5th later this week to resolve these issues.
Thermometer seems to keep getting stuck. Doesn't matter if I just started the car or if I've been on the road for hours. It randomly gets stuck. Not a big problem except I know the thermometer is connected to the A/C and has an impact on cooling.
The knock seems to come from the rear passenger door area. I'm not 100% sure because I'm driving when I hear it. The dealer's adjusted, tweaked and even added foam but the knock keeps coming back.

Anyone out there experience the same and what was the fix...?

I love the car otherwise but I'm starting to lose my patience with it.

Thanks

Everything worked, but the car immediately shut off (radio and ac would stay on however). Tried again, but the same thing happened. Followed by a check engine light warning, and tire pressure warning. Took key out of ignition, waited a minute, before trying again. This time, turned off radio and ac. Car immediately shut off still. Tried 2-3 more times, and car finally started, all with a total of 4 warning lights. Check engine, tire pressure, power steer… Read complete

Problems 2015 Honda Accord 4cyl

Honda Accord 2015 EX-L Sedan 2.4L CVT
Initial use of the automatic air conditioning system puts the passenger cabin into "air recirculation" mode in order to bring the temperature down as quickly as possible. Unfortunately it will not turn air recirculation off until the interior air temperature has reached the temperature asked for. This can take a long time. We have been told for years that it isn't safe to leave recirculation on for too long due to the possibility of dangerous exhaust gases entering the cabin. Recirculation can be turned off by pushing a button but having fresh air sooner seems safer to me.

Problems 2012 Honda Accord

Honda Accord 2012
I bought this 2012 honda accord in late september 2014. In october, just a few short weeks later, my ac stopped cooling. I took it to a local mechanic and found there was a hole in the ac dryer. How exactly does a 2 year old car already have ac issues? after doing some research, apparently this is a design flaw because rocks can fly up in it and cause the hole. Honda will not cover the $800+ expense. Completely unacceptable. I owned a nissan for over 5 years and never once had an issue or repair that was more than $200. Extremely disappointed in honda and will not purchase another.

2014 Honda Accord problem

Honda Accord 2014
I purchased a new honda accord in may 2014 in austin, tx. About one month later, the forward collision warning and lane departure warning systems failed. The service department at the dealer told me the cameras were not able to handle the heat in texas. They suggested a fix of turning the ac on to cool the front window. After several tries that seemed to fix it, but it was only very temporary. These systems are advertised to be life-saving safety features, but they still don't work after more than 6 months. Is there a recall in the works?

Issues 2014 Honda Accord

Honda Accord 2014
Hello. I already posted my problem with head-rest for the pilot seat causing neck pain while driving as the head-rest always, regardless the how we set seat position, pushes the head forward in a c position causing the neck pain. I can't drive a car with this constant pain!. Today, i read about the complains for the 2013 and 2014 honda accord. The category with more complains for both years is the seat category! i can't believe that nhtsa has done nothing regarding this issue to resolve it. Would you please take into your considerations ours consumers' complains regarding not able to drive a car with this important issue? thank you. *tr

2013 Accord EX-L problems

Honda Accord 2013 EX-L Sedan 2.4L CVT
While driving at approx. 10mph, i pressed the engine start/stop switch and it shut the engine down completely. After applying my brakes and coming to a full stop, i put the transmission back into park and it started automatically back up. This event should be investigated by honda and a safety interface designed and installed to prevent this from happening at full highway speeds possibly resulting in a serious and deadly accident asap. The engine start/stop switch is located approximately 2 inches away from the air conditioning temperature control up and down button switches. The depression of the start/stop switch could occur while driving attempting to control the temperature of the air conditioning.

2013 Accord LX 4dr problems

Honda Accord 2013 LX Sedan 2.4L CVT
I am finding the driver seat in my 2013 honda accord to be unbearable. I am 5' 10" and 160 lbs, and drive 20 miles to work, which takes an average 35 minutes. As many have said, the head rests are pitched too far forward, causing neck pain. I have tried turning the head rest around, but this allows too much space, and is most likely very dangerous, but i have found it to be more comfortable. In addition, there is no lumbar support at all, and the upper part of the seat curves your upper body forward. The result is that your body is curved into a c shape, which is extremely uncomfortable and painful. *tr

Problem 2014 Honda Accord

Honda Accord 2014
Headrest is not adjustable backwards or forwards, only up and down. It is curved forwards at an extreme angle, and when you sit in it, causes you to sit in a c position, all hunched over. At first, not too bad. After awhile, it is uncomfortable, and causes a lot of neck strain, leading to headaches and neck pain. Please fix, honda! please send out replacement headrests that are adjustable! simple easy, quick fix, minimal impact. Temporarily, i have resorted to taking them out, and putting them in backwards, and they feel so much better!! trust me, it looks awkward, but feels awesome! *ln updated 1/6/2013 *js

2013 Accord EX problem

Honda Accord 2013 EX AWD SUV w/ Leather 3.5L 5A
My new 2013 honda accord ex-l has a push button start/stop. While driving with my foot on the gas and the car in drive (its an automatic), if you accidentally push the engine start/stop button, it cuts the power to the engine. So you can effectively turn the car off, loose power to the engine and loose the power steering while the car is in drive and you are driving. I believe this is a severe safety issue, since you would not be able to do this to a car with a keyed ignition while you are driving. Additionally, the engine start/stop button is right next to the air conditioning buttons. I was trying to adjust the air conditioning while i was driving and couldn't take my eyes off the road to look at the air conditioning buttons. *tr

Problem 2013 Honda Accord 2.4L CVT

Honda Accord 2013 EX-L Sedan 2.4L CVT 2500 miles
Shortly after purchase, i noticed that sometimes when turning a corner and then trying to accelerate, the engine falters as though it is going to stall, but it doesn't. The car now has about 2500 miles on it and this has happened dozens of times, but not always, when turning a corner. It doesn't matter whether or not the eco system is engaged or the a/c is on or off. I spoke to a service rep at my honda dealer who said other owners have reported the same issue, but that it is just a characteristic of the vehicle and that there is no fix for it. I think this has the potential to cause an accident if i can't accelerate ahead of on coming vehicles or the car stalls. *tr

2013 Accord problem

Honda Accord 2013
The seats are horribly uncomfortable. The way they are designed, they make you hunch over, where your spine is in the shape of a c, instead of how it should be. The headrest pushes your head forward that furthers the pain. I got a lumbar cushion (to make driving the car bearable), but now there is an gap between my upper back and the seat. I've also had to turn around the headrest, because it was hurting my neck pushing my neck so far forward when the rest of me is set back. Please fix this!!!!! no one should have to go through this pain with a new car or any car. Make the headrests adjustable and seats with ergonomic support standard! *tr

2011 Accord EX problems

Honda Accord 2011 EX Sedan 2.4L 5A
We purchased a honda accord a little over a year ago. Recently the air conditioning has failed and we were told by the honda dealer that "a rock probably damaged the condenser" as they found a leak. They refuse to cover it under warranty. They quoted us a repair cost of $841.88. Upon inspection we found that there is no protection provided to the condenser to prevent this from happening. Further, i researched and found that this is a known and continuous problem that honda has been aware of for years. There is no question it is a design defect. Further, it is a safety issue that needs to be corrected a.s.a.p. Heat stroke is a serious condition that can be deadly. Please contact me at your earliest convenience regarding this, thank you. *tr
