Connecting spotlights into existing high beam circuit

Ford Ranger 2016 XLT 2500 miles
I want to connect a pair of spot lights onto my Ranger.
I need to connect into the High beam wire that supplies the Earth sense.
The rear of the High Beam assy is encased in a plactic cover restricting the loom access. Anyone know where to find the high beam wire and how to connect?

You need to get a wiring loom. It has 2 types adaptors that plug into the back of your headlight. The rest of the loom goes to the battery, fuse and a switch for the dashboard to make it all leagal. Look at online 4X4 shops. Easy to install.

I fitted two supposedly 'compatible' with 2014 PX1 Ranger LED headlamp bulbs and the rh low beam came on then went out, refitted original bulb, no light, the LH low beam also failed a few seconds later. High beam operates however, need BCM reset, not happy I have sent away to a Victorian supplier of a 'specific' Ranger Canbus conversion cable in order to get around flicking a code again, not tried as yet however...
I also have a PJ PK model and there was no problem with similar LED bulbs.

PS Rangers also have to be Canbus modified when fitting trailer brake units, Ford can supply a cable I believe, something also to do with BCM with the brake circuit triggering code when used a trigger for brake controller, can't use rear brake light as trigger ,
I had heard about this but not the headlight difficulty.

A refurbished BCM costs just over $1000 Australian dollars from a Victorian firm Precision Engine Components. Apparently they will refurbish, repair your faulty BCM, requiring sending your underdash fuse BCM unit away. Second hand appear to be around $300 - $400 Australian dollars from salvage yards. Another Victorian supplier Stedi can provide a 'specific' and I mean specific resistance Canbus cable conversion to trick the BCM into allowing LED bulbs to be recognized as similar resistance for the Ranger,
Apparently, the years affected are Ranger PX1 2014 -15 and all Mazda BT 50's 2011 to present. Ranger 2011 -2013 and 2016 on are not affected, go figure? BCM was modified then changed again after 2015.

Same issue here passenger side low beam and fog lamp not working but high beam is. From Philippines any suggestions pls help thank you for answering
rosco from Australia a year ago
It is possible with a relay to use the working side low beam light to trigger the independently powered relay which then operates both low beam headlamps, if the BCM has a fault and cannot be reset.
