Transmission vibrations SolvedSolved

Ford Ranger 2012  50000 miles
My van started having huge vibration problems at speeds between 5-40 mph. All the car's crosspieces have been replaced and now the vibration is softer but still well noticeable at speeds between 25-40 mph. All the engine, box and exhaust holders have been checked, the tires have been serviced and the drive shaft has been turned to crankshaft in 180 degrees, but the vibration is still there. What can it be?

Lay yourself under the car and check that the drive shaft or Cardan shaft is properly installed. The differential is quite difficult, so you should check the cross-pieces

Roland, thanks for your help. Effectively, the cross-piece that was installed linked together with the differential was presenting some vertical moves. It will be changed.

Intermittent starting

Ford Ranger 2012 3.2L T6 Auto XLT 200000 miles
Vehicle drives well but when I park it, out of the blues it would not start, it just cranks but does not start. If I keep trying, sometimes it would start after some hours and sometimes weeks or even months. Crankshaft sensor has been changed because that is what the mechanic suspected but as it turns out that was not the problem at all. I am baffled by this problem. If it starts I can go for weeks without any problem and suddenly it refuses to start again. Very frustrating in deed. Please help.

Hi,
Same issue here. Have you managed to get it sorted out or not?

I have not been able to solve the problem so I sold the vehicle instead but someone later told me that I should have checked the lift pump, don't if it is true, worth checking though. Good luck. Thanks

Oil pump ceasure

Ford Ranger 2012 pickup xlt 4x4 D/C TDCI 196157 miles
My oil pump ceased to pump oil into the engine that other day while the car was in motion resulting in damage to the shell bearing and crank shaft. I changed the oil pump, but the same thing just happened. Now i am not so sure if it's the oil pump of something else. The engine is a T5 double cam.

My 2013 Ford Everest 3.0 tdci XLT started by giving me issues with starting. I had to crank and crank until it started then when that stopped working had to resort to the dreadful 'engine quickstart'. A friend of mine who owns a workshop told me it was most probably the injectors so we sent them in for servicing. R14k later they were back, we fitted them after completely cleaning the fuel system and filled new clean diesel and changed the oil and oil filter. It drove fine for two days then started to puff black smoke then the difficulty in starting started again. I sent the injectors back and the injector specialist told me there was an issue with one injector and he sorted it out. We fitted it and the vehicle sounded smooth and awesome. I parked it that night and the next morning it cranked a few times then came to an abrupt stop. I gave it a few minutes it cranked and started and then shut off. I cranked again and heard a screeching sound and it sounded like it siezed. I opened the oil cap and seen the the valves and lifters were absolutely dry. I took it to another mechanic and he found that the oil pump had seized. I service my vehicle at the dealership on time every time and change the oil and oil filter every three months even though I only do around 22000km a year. Now that main and big end bearings as well as the crankshaft are condemned. What's going on?
