Driver's side rear brake

Ford F-150 1998 4.2L 2WD 100000 miles
When applying brakes on slippery roads, ice, snow. Driver side rear brake locks up and skids. I removed both drums and there are no mechanical problems I can see. I recently purchased this truck so not sure what has been done to rear brakes. I did the front brakes, turned rotors, new pads. Will bleeding or flushing system fix this problem?

Yes, you should definitely purge the brake system and put clean fluid, there could be lots of moisture and grime in there. It's something that you should check every two years or so. Let us know if you fixed it!

I was pulling a camper to Mississippi. Was going down a hill went to apply breaks nothing. Pedal all the way to the floor and nothing at all. I was saved from crashing by the camper breaks that I applied once realizing this and slammed the car into park once it would let it go. Replaced break pads about 9,000 miles ago
