Chevrolet Volt 2013 PZEV / hatchback /1.5 litre engine 75000 miles
These sockets, one each in front and rear seat consoles, are used to power air pump. Both sockets are dead, ie not providing 12Vdc when car is powered on, as if PZEV air pump 40 amp fuse (#27) in engine fuse block is blown, but fuse is not blown! Has the PZEV air pump relay failed? Dead sockets appear to have been caused by deteriorated insulation resulting in a short circuit in the wire that powers the air pump.
