They are used to measure the air pressure, the temperature, the speed, the liquid level, the characteristics of the exhaust smoke, etc. They are connected to the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and they provide the information needed to improve the engine's performance.
Multiple Misfire if check engine light flashes. Sounds like either worn spark plugs, plugged injectors. Pull the plugs and change them first and wires first to see if it clears it up. If not run fuel injector cleaner thru it
Hi, I've been noticing some engine power loss in my van lately. I've change the air filter, its holder's lid where the sensor is located, I've cleaned the sensor's wet connection and the vehicle keeps failing. I have then disconnected the negative pole for a while and the problem was temporarily solved. After turning the engine on and off, the failure returned and now there is nothing I can do to take it away. Can someone give me any idea or solution? Thanks!
In my case it was the TAC module which is close to the hidrovac or brake booster. I recommend you to scan your vehicle and check if any failure is provided by the scanner.
My van's fans are suddenly turned on and the temperature's pressure gauge is disabled. On top of that, a script warns that there is an engine overheating. The thermostat and temperature sensor were replaced, it worked better for two months but the problem is now back. What might it be?
Do you know whether your new temperature sensor is a good quality one? Nowadays there are many of them out there that are cheaper but only last for some weeks, or in the best of the cases months. You should check this first of all.
Hey guys, were having some issues sith our 2004 5.3L silverado. Rear end blew 4 days ago, chamged that. Now since than its been reving and lagging when it shifts gears, and wont shift into OD/4th gear. Its got the 37:3 gear ratio for the rear end and. Now today, as we were pulling it out of the yard (it was still in first at the time) something make a loud TING CLANK sound and all of a sudden we have nothing but 1st 2nd and reverse gears. Not sure if this issue is due to a sensor, or if the tranny/ transfercase is not shot after the rear end let go last week. Any help is very appreciated. Im at a loss and this truck is becoming my worst nightmare. Thanks!!
