Engine noise

Chevrolet Silverado 2011  90000 miles
My car started making a strange noise, as if it were a template's bearing or damaged band, but we've removed this last one and nothing changed. We've also opened the car's distributor and replaced the oil pump which was softly damaged, but again nothing changed. We've checked it with a stethoscope and the noise seems to be coming from the bottom. There was no overheating nor an oil failure, any help to give me?

The noise might be coming from a piston rod's piece of metal.

Thanks for your comment, Delores. I tell you that we've finally solved the problem when we took the engine out and found three damaged propellers. We've then changed them and luckily the car is now working properly.

Fans failure

Chevrolet Silverado 2010  64000 miles
My van's fans are suddenly turned on and the temperature's pressure gauge is disabled. On top of that, a script warns that there is an engine overheating. The thermostat and temperature sensor were replaced, it worked better for two months but the problem is now back. What might it be?

Do you know whether your new temperature sensor is a good quality one? Nowadays there are many of them out there that are cheaper but only last for some weeks, or in the best of the cases months. You should check this first of all.
