Due to an attempt to steal my 98 Chevy Silverado my security system will not let my truck start and keep running it will start and die seconds later there's no vacuum going to the throttle body from the gas pump we just put a seal over to the gas pump is there any way to get that vacuum going to push the gas to the throttle body when the security system is cut out
I turn key on blows. I pull the 40 Amp (ignition B)fuse and won't blow... I put it back in but pull both ignition fuses in the cab and put the 40 Amp back in doesn't blow... I'm at a stand still
I have 98 Chev 1500 4x4. I was trying to crank, would spin over but not crank, kinda like fuel pump bad. But spun over few times then no pwr. Like no battery pwr. Gauges didn't react when key turn to on position. Knew had bad starter also. So replaced starter, found body ground cable from hood to firewall broke and corroded. Replaced. But still no pwr. Checked fuse etc. Under hood.no blown fuses. Tried to find schematics for fuse box under hood but no success. Any tips on where I should start tracing wires etc or what I should check next? Any help greatly appreciated
The rear running lights won’t come on. Brake lights, turn signals, reverse light all work fine but the running lights don’t come on until I put the truck in reverse. Once back in drive there’s nothing
I changed my thermostat, temperature sensor, my truck isn't over heating but my a/c keeps going out. I even took my ECM fuse out and put it back to reset everything, for a while my a/c blows ice cold again but after a few hours my temperature gauge goes back to flat bottom and my a/c shuts off again. What can i do...what's the problem???? 2013 Chevrolet silverado z71 4x4
Truck will drive and when stopped at light, engine turns off with some warning lights and loss of power. Will not restart or generate error code to trace. Truck then needs to sit for 60_90 minutes before starting. This is a major safety hazard. Chevy isn’t able to resolve.
So I know my combination switch is bad but every time I turn on my light with the headlight taillight switch the park lamp fuse blows any ideas? Could my combination switch be causing my fuse to blow?
After the dealership replaced the sending unit in the truck the gas gage started reading full or empty nothing in between and sometimes it will throw a check engine code. Would the be in the fuel pump or would that be a problem with the computer I’m really looking for a place to start. Is there a place that i could run a meter to see what the problem is before i start tarring into things?
Truck will start run about 30 seconds then dies and will not start again have replaced both fuel pumps crank sensor spark plugs throttle body and map sensor
Is there a key light or light saying security flashing or illuminated at all when this happens you may need to reprogram your transponder in your key...putting some fuel directly in the throttle body without turning the key off after this happens and trying to start it back up would indicate if it starts again that you have a fuel issue most likely… if the computer doesn’t read the transponder in the key it’ll have similar symptoms have you run diagnostics since the condition had occurred
I changed switch after intermittent failure. Now brake lights stay on even with new switch unplugged. They do go off when truck is off. Suggestions? Thanks
So 17 days in I have also now replaced the circuit board junction box thing where all the lights plug in under the bed and still nothing.
The power tailgate won’t respond to any of the buttons. It will work some days and then it won’t. 2 days ago it didn’t work then it did yesterday now today it won’t. Very frustrating
So when I’m around 70 I can fill a small vibration but when I left off the gas it just echoes and vibrates but it does this anytime I let off the gas and start to just let the truck start slowing down.
Left light and turn signal stopped working, but the reverse light and running lights are working- so all the bulbs are fine.
Checked all the fuses- in good condition. Checked the junction box under the bed, but connections seem ok...? What now?
My husband changed the transmission. We got to drive it for an hour or so. Well that night my horn started going crazy. It would honk then go off then again but it sounded like someone was laying on the horn this time. Well I went out there and nobody is near or in the truck. We go to leave the a few hours later and now the truck isn't wanting to start. Please help...
I recently just replaced the head gasket in the intake manifold gasket and went to start it and it cranks over but it won't start and then I have no spark to My plugs checked plug connections checked fuses kind of lost
Double-check all components underneath the distributor cap and ignition connector harness. Spark plug wires included. Now, do you have a signal or audio sound for the fuel pump while the key is in accessory mode? Does the fuel pressure rail consist of high-pressure or low-pressure flow?
2000 silverado 1500 4.8 replaced head gasket and intake manifold gasket have crank but no spark so it doesn't start have plenty of fuel pressure need help
They do not work, it was my bro -n- laws, he passed away, so idk the cause only that they haven't worked since I got it, I've checked fuses, got new bulbs, checked the wiring, sockets and plugs. There is no dome light on the inside of the truck, I guess he removed it now could it be an incomplete circuit causing it,? Idk need some advise please??
The problem with your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 could be caused by a number of things. It could be a simple issue like a blown fuse or a more complex problem with the wiring or switch. To determine the cause of the problem, you'll need to do some further testing.
First, make sure the fuse is good. If the fuse is good, check the wiring for any obvious signs of damage such as fraying, corrosion, or loose connections. If you find any damaged wiring, it should be repaired or replaced. If the wiring appears to be in good condition, test the switch. If the switch is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
This issue with your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 may be caused by a problem with the multifunction switch, which controls the turn signals, windshield wipers, and other functions. A common cause of this issue is a worn or damaged multifunction switch. If the switch is worn, it may cause the contacts to become misaligned, which would result in the hazard lights coming on instead of the turn signals.
