Noise when starting

Chevrolet Captiva 2011  39000 miles
For months, I've been hearing a noise in some occasions when starting the engine. The belt tensioner has been replaced and recently timing belt itself. But the solution to the noise has not been found because it has never appeared while being in the agency. It does not necessarily appear when cold and it lasts for about 3 seconds; it sounds as if there was something loose inside. Hope you can help me find the solution.

The same happened to me, I changed both of the solenoids, the admission and the exhaust ones, and the noise disappeared. Those valves occasionally get stuck, not allowing the camshaft to work properly when cold.

Hi, your problem is in the alternator's pulley, which has a clutch inside and, depending on its demand, it hooks or not, making the noise you can hear. Once I changed it, the annoying noise disappeared.

Violet. My captiva makes a winning sound and takes time to change gears. It's an automatic. No warning lights and doesn't have power.
