Pulsating noise behind dashboard (left central) right hand drive.

Ford Ranger 2012 3.2 Diesel  40000 miles
Pulsating air vent. It just randomly does it, even with ignition off having just stopped vehicle, or it does it whilst driving. It's a muffled low noise knocking. Isolated it to the re circulating switch and stops when you press it on to re circulate air. Bloody irritating.

There are about 3 electric duct motors that lose their 'home' position, so they hunt back and forth (forever). Need to remove glovebox (2 visible) or under steering wheel (very hard to see on side of main aircond box) to find the cuplrit, then replace. Once one's gone, the others won't be far behind.
